About this house rental

Situated in Nantucket, this attractive house for $1,135 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The House: Experience the charm Nantucket has to offer from our fully renovated historic home, conveniently located in town. Situated across the street from the Great Harbor Yacht Club, "Nantucklet" screams "Location, location, location!" You can leave your car on the mainland and walk or bike from our house (if you do bring your car, we can accommodate it in our driveway that has two tandem parking spots). It is a 2-minute walk to a full-service and fully renovated convenience store and a six-minute walk to "Wicked Island Bakery" where you absolutely must get up early to treat yourself to a Sailor's Knot pastry or Morning Bun (insider's tip: call the day before to reserve). Nantucklet is less than a ten-minute walk to the Stop-and-Shop and anywhere from a 5-15 minute walk to world-class dining, excellent shopping, and cobblestone stone streets. The house features a spacious kitchen with custom cabinetry that was crafted by the Amish in Pennsylvania. A large (96 inches) table can easily seat eight people since it has five chairs and a custom window bench. All new stainless appliances, a gas range, Quartz countertops, and a farmhouse sink make cooking and clean-up (almost) fun! The living room features comfortable seating and 55-inch TV. The nearby den is a great place for an intimate group to gather or to take a nap or read a book. The master bedroom has an en-suite bath and fireplace. It has a queen-sized memory foam mattress and TV. The guest room also has a queen memory foam mattress and direct access to the den; in fact, the den can be closed off to create a mini-apartment with the guest room. The bath has an oversize walk-in shower, classic white subway tile, Carrera marble flooring, and a beautiful of the garden. Kids and adults will delight in the second floor bunk room. It is light, white, and airy and has four twin beds, also with memory foam mattresses. The main bath has a shower-over-tub and custom vanity. It also has white subway tile and marble flooring. The mudroom has plenty of storage and a stacked washer and dryer. There is a brick patio (equipped with a propane grill) outside for morning coffee or happy hour and an outdoor shower. The Island: Things to do while visiting: 1. Rent bikes in town and bike along the Milestone Road out to ‘Sconset. There are great bike paths all over the island and it’s a great way to explore beyond downtown Nantucket without splurging on a rental car. Start at ‘Sconset Market with a blueberry muffin or ice cream cone and walk the ‘Sconset Bluff Walk up to Sankaty Lighthouse. The bluff walk is a hidden gem and there’s no signage directing you where to go, but it’s a public walk through the yards of some of the island’s most beautiful homes on Baxter Road with the Atlantic Ocean off to your right. If you start at the market and find the rose-covered cottages on Broadway, you’re on the right path! 2. Consider a sailboat ride (or charter the whole boat for up to 14 people) with Endeavor Sailing. The captain is extremely knowledgable about the island, the boat itself is beautiful, and you can either soak up some sailing tips or sit back, relax, and pop a bottle of rosé. 3. Head out to Cisco Brewers, a combination brewery, distillery, and winery near Bartlett’s Farm. You pay a cover ($5 at the time of this writing) at the entrance and then enjoy your beverage of choice while listening to live music and snacking on the food truck offerings. 4. If you end up with a rainy day during your trip, you can catch a movie at the Dreamland in town or stroll through the Whaling Museum (warning: it will be crowded if it's raining and parking will be difficult). Super cute gift shop here, which is accessible to the general public. 5. Go to the beach! There are so many options on Nantucket. A few to consider: Walkable from the house are Children's Beach (located off of Harbor View Way), with gentle waves and summertime activities, and Jetties Beach (4 Bathing Beach Road) with shallow and calm water. My favorite is Miacomet Beach, which has big ocean waves and a pond for the littles. Nobadeer Beach is a drive-on beach (4WD only) and my second-favorite, located near the airport. 6. Eat! World-class dining options abound here! I love Dune and Cru is tremendously popular (while I was decorating the interior of the house, the manager at Cru let me borrow some chairs to test-drive at my kitchen table to make sure I liked the sizing with my table; how's that for service?!). Others to consider are Galley Beach and The Proprietors Bar & Table. 7. Shop. There's a shop for everyone on nearby Main Street. The house is equipped with sheets, bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, a Keurig and a regular drip coffee maker. It includes a starter supply of paper towels, toilet tissue, sponge, dish soap, and trash liner.. (Nightly minimum must conclude - check-out on - by Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 10 AM. While the VRBO system may allow you to book a shorter stay beyond that date, full-week-only reservations go into effect on Saturday, June 29. Any reservation not meeting this criteria is subject to cancellation.)

I stayed with 2 girlfriends and we loved the house. It is so charming, has everything you’d need, and was in a great location. If we come back to Nantucket we will definitely try and stay here.

We came over for a wedding and from the beginning, Anastasia was very responsive and helpful. Very quick to respond and provided helpful insight on options like where to store luggage if needed. The house was perfect. Very nicely done and it had everything needed to help us enjoy our stay. Location to town was perfect too! Highly recommended.

⛴ Nantucket 2022 was as charming and memorable as we expected 🇺🇸 Honestly, it felt like we were transported to another place and time. Hydrangeas lined all the wood-shuttered summer homes, American flags hung on every home, bikes and pedestrians ruled the roads, lighthouses looked straight out of a postcard, the beaches were pristine and the fishing was amazing! For the last 20 years the islands off of Massachusetts have been on the top of our bucket list. Nantucket (30 miles off the coast of Cape Cod) was even more than we imagined and worth the wait. We went out of a private charter and the boys caught over 40 fish, enjoyed a sunset sail (ACK SAIL), spent most of our days at the sandbar and on Jetties Beach, golfed at the gorgeous Miocomet, loved the vibe of Ciscos brewery, enjoyed a bike ride, a sunset date at Galley beach, and we enjoyed lots of great seafood dinners. Our favorite family meal was probably at Brand Point and at Galley. This home was the perfect setting to enjoy the island. We walked into town many times for food and activities! It is about a 10 minute walk. We loved the decor of this darling Nantucket home. Our family of five all fit comfortably. We rented a car, bikes and beach chairs and used them all.

The house was very cute, comfortable and you could tell it had a lot of good-time stories to tell. The hosts were communicative and provided timely responses to all questions. Located an easy walk from downtown and water just a block away. This is a historical property with a large step to enter, tall stairs to the attic, and risers between rooms so it is best suited for able bodied people.

Our stay at 69 Union Street was wonderful. The family kitchen is a kitchen of dreams. We walked to town for dinner both nights (only 0.6 miles). There was ample room to sleep my family of 6 adults… plus a few more if needed. Everyone loved it and were only sorry we could not stay longer. Will definitely be back to this property in the future.
