The pictures online were deceiving. The staff was friendly and there was good water pressure but that was the only positive points. The room was dirty, the carpet was nasty. The pipes knock on the fine smell of marijuana was outside and in. The dog poop in the parking lot was everywhere and they don’t understand about hard pack removal apparently. I absolutely would not consider staying here again with the family.

Without going into a lot of detail, hotels in Anchorage should have to post if they are housing homeless or low income families, period. The facility is not clean, you walk thru a cloud of smoke to access the front door that is in lockdown mode during the middle of the day. The parking lot is not plowed or attended to regularly in the winter time apparently as it was very difficult to drive thru comfortably. The front desk takes a picture of your drivers license and registers it on their computer system…not sure why this was necessary. If you wanted anything for your room with a kitchen you had to request each item down to a simple spoon. It felt more like a jail system than a hotel stay…and bonus some tenants liked to do burnouts at 3 am with their diesel truck in the parking lot for an hour or more…it’s not a place I would suggest anyone to stay even if the price is in your ball park.

Between the literal off roading maneuvers needed to park in the season long snow pack, while dodging the local transient rift raft loitering (or casing the cars) in the parking lot, the SINGLE towel provided for the 3 person reservation, the UTTERLY ABSENT front desk staff and the discussing state of the room… safe your self the money and sleep in your car! At least that way the strung out mess surrounding it will think twice about breaking in to it! Wish there was ANYONE available to speak to about the room, missing towels, dirty bedding ect… however the three visits to the desk and 4 phone calls would prove that no one works at this place!

In poor repair. Heater needs repair middle of December. Light bulbs out. Couch so worn sitting painfully on the rails. Uggg.

When we arrived to check in. Fire alarm was going off and folks were evacuating. Turned out that someone was cooking and burned food and opened up door which went into halllway. Person checking us was new and took long time to check in. No remote for tv in bedroom and the phone did not work.

Thermostat didn’t work and even when we adjusted it temperature didn’t go down from 75.

Dry wall was coming apart in my bathroom, there was an old/used bottle of wine in my room. Bed was uncomfortable.

For the price, I feel it was pretty clean. No bugs, no foul smells. The carpet in my room had a few big stains. My room had no phone in it, so anytime I needed something from the from the front desk I had to walk all the way down a long hallway. The side and back door are emergency use only with alarms that will sound if opened. So if your room is on the opposite side of the building from the main entrance in front, expect to do a lot of walking.
When i needed new towels, i expected they would need my dirty ones in exchange so i brought them to the front desk (the housekeeper in the hall told me to get them from the front desk) where they proceeded to inspect every dirty towel, and ask me about the stains. First of all, embarrasing, second she told me if the stains dont come out they will charge my card $20 per towel.
They do have a coin-op laundry room, so being able to do a load of laundry was a plus.

Know you when u sleep in a hotel bed and want to image the number of people that have slept in the bed before you by the number of indents and spring stabbing you in the side? No? Well here I am was able to have that pleasure for 2 nights!

Average accommodations with a friendly staff. Room was very noisy with a constant sound of water dripping and loud noise above us. Walking distance to Moose’s Tooth Pizza, a great local restaurant.

The room was extremely hot , the heating system was not working, the temperature in the room would not fall below 79. The a/c would only blow out hot/warm heat. Even with the windows open the room temperature stayed at 78 or 79. My room had only one chair and it was dirty, I covered the seat and backrest with plastic bags.

We were annoyed that all persons staying in the room, had to show a drivers license for safety reasons they said. Of course, that is a corporate mandate not a location mandate.

Went through 6 non working swipe cards.
AC in living area, only heater in bedroom. But they do supply a fan.
Feels very rundown. Problems with graffiti inside. Now all doors but lobby are alarmed.
Breakfast is Costco snacks.

The information provided by Expedia indicates a complimentary airport shuttle. However, this property doesn’t operate a shuttle service. The manager Don graciously credited the taxi cost from the airport to the hotel.

Too many homeless people in the parking at night.

It was in a pretty sketchy area. There was a lamp without a bulb but plugged into an outlet. In the bathroom a light bulb was missing. The heater would only blow cold air. Thankfully there was heat in the bedroom.

Older units need up graded. Grandson slept on hid a bed. It was stained vary bad. Wall had seat rock patch that was unprofessionally done paint not matched. Carpet very old. Overall not well kept.

The sheets were dirty and stained, the floors were filthy and stained, the sink had items in the drain that you could see (hair clip, toothpaste cap) and the sink was stained. It was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I’ve ever seen. We will not be staying at one of these properties again.

I liked the comfortable rooms. The stay was quiet for the most part.
What I did not like was when I was originally trying to make the reservation, I called the front desk many times and nobody answered. It was like nobody was ever there. I finally got Expedia to reach them.

It seemed a bit run down and the public areas were not well cleaned.

A hotel that should never be advertised. I have stayed at hotels all over the world & this rates the worst.

Friendly staff, big rooms, and very accommodating.

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. If we weren’t in a bind, I would have taken my chance at losing my money and going somewhere else.
Staff was nice. But the dirtiness of the entire place was disgusting. Our couch was broken to the point you couldn’t sit on it. Stains on the lamps, carpets etc.
Needless to say, we got ripped off!

This was the worst hotel i have stayed in. They did not have enough towels, you had to request dishes and silverware, and they had tiny bars of soap and no shower gel.
This is at best a 2 star hotel. Never coming back!!

2. No towels handed
3. Ac did not work for 2 days. After complaining it started working.
4. Stove did not work. For 3 cups of hot water to make tea, was asked not to take any hot water from the coffee station. ( We bought our own kettle).
5. Asked for extra bath soap, said they didn’t have any
6. Couch was broken, couldn’t even sit on it.
7. Drapes hanging off the hooks.
8. Asked for 12 pm check out (1 hour after the 11am checkout). REFUSED.

Be prepared to have them scan an ID for every person who’s staying- maybe because it’s a residence for some. There was a visible half full bottle of whiskey on the file cabinet behind the check in and by the looks of the staff- I wasn’t surprised. The room wasn’t as bad as I expected after check in but when we opened the sofa bed there was hair on the sheet- pretty gross. We were there less than 8 hrs so it was tolerable but any longer would be a no go for us .

It was fine, just very basic and no frills, but very clean

When I first checked in, there was pop stands when you first walked in the entryway and it smelled like cat and dog. When we got to our room, the hallway smelled like cat pee and dog pee got Trevor room and it was filthy. The air conditioning did not work, nothing was very clean or cleansing us at all. Call the front desk. We got a different room much better, but I did have problems with the door sticking in the shower draining, I would not recommend it to anyone.

Poor customer service. No one knew how to deal with authorization forms so they charged my personal card. I had no per diem for my work trip because of this. I tried to get it fixed and all they said is that they have no access to authorization forms. Other than this, its a nice place to stay. Very comfortable.

My flight was delayed by 2 hrs from Dallas to Anchorage. When I showed up to check in I was told since it was past midnight that they consider that a no show. As a result I would have to make a new reservation for a new charge. Are you kidding me. That is Terrible service. The hotel also smelt of smoke everywhere and wasn’t clean. I ended up going to another hotel. I would never give these clowns another penny.

It was ok for one night. The location is good, but there were people loitering outside making me feel uneasy walking to my car at 2 am to get to the airport.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed. Neglected, dirty, old furniture, broken bed, broken window, noisy with people’s conversations heard in the room all throughout the night. At $247 a night I was expecting something clean!!! Terrible!!!

Rough neighborhood. Lots of hall noise all night. Pull out bed that we needed had no sheet and sheets given were too small. No blanket available for pullout. Thankfully we had a dog blanket in the car. Absolutely no frills!!

We arrived for our reserved room at 7:00pm in mid-July. The hotel had over-booked by 14 rooms. We supposedly got the last actually available room, but we went to it and it had not been cleaned. It was pretty disgusting with trash and other personal items in it. There was no manager, just one receptionist at the desk. There was no housekeeping to clean it and they would not allow us to gather new linen and clean it for ourselves, so we had no place to stay. They were charging $290 per night, which they did refund but we had to go searching and finally found a room from the 8 other hotels we called. This place is a dump, trash cans were sitting outside in the hallway. Seemingly homeless people wandering the halls (not sure how they afford this place at $290/night). A few of the building outer windows had boards (instead of windows), not a great neighborhood despite looking "ok" using Google street view.

Room smelled, couch had stains, chair had dry food, bed sheets looked dirty, walls had dirt smudges
