A friend recommended the Dorsoduro neighborhood for its easy-going vibe and wealth of cultural sites. I found Hotel Palazzo Stern in my own, and what a gem!! Beautiful in every historic detail. Comfortable, clean, welcoming, perfectly situated for convenience and charm. If I had known, I would have booked a longer stay. Next time!

Staff was excellent with helping us obtain transportation to and from the train terminal. They also helped arrange a last minute tour of the glass factory.
Cocktails were very nice, not the largest selection, but well made.

Definitely recommend this hotel. It is a great location and one of the only hotels we saw on the grand canal that has a lovely terrace and the shady side of the canal in the afternoon. So fun to sit out there and watch the activity. In addition, the water bus stop is just steps away for easy convenience. The breakfasts were amazing and the one dinner we had there was excellent.
