Great location 2 minute walk from Subway. Communication via the App was excellent and Apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable. Gym was basic but did the job.

My friend and I met in Philly for the weekend. Definitely on the cusp of University City, but not in the best area. Walls are thin and you can hear everything. Felt okay-ish walking after the sun went down, but would not put headphones in and was always looking over my shoulder. The rooms itself were spacious and the bed was comfortable, but the room smelt like old food and the floors and counters were sticky in some spots. The dishes had not been washed and there was old food caked on them. Decent for a one night stay, but nothing more than that.

The lockers that you can store your luggage and was full the entire time. The place they recommend to store your luggage opens too late to be of any use. I called and they guaranteed me they would have a locker in the morning. There were no lockers available the morning I was checking out and I had to carry my luggage to an interview would not recommend .

This property was fantastic! Really close to the subway which made travel very easy, and check in and check out process was smooth. We were shocked when we entered and had essentially a full kitchen to ourselves, with plates, cups, and pans at our disposal. The only downside would be that the wifi was less than stellar, so if you're planning on needing a stable wifi connection at this location, maybe reconsider, or plan to use mobile data. Oh, and if you want to watch your own TV, bring an HDMI cord for your PC and you'll be good, pro-tip. TV works on internet which, as stated, is not very good.

Unique cost efficient location for prolonged stays. Close to UPenn Hosp if you are accompanying someone there. Nice walk to the hosp. Parking nearby with in and out privileges n.id stay here again.ot anailable but wasnt an issue.

It was more like an apartment, not like a hotel at all. There is no staff. I didn’t care for this. We ran out of coffee, no fresh towels or cleaning like I was expecting, and the gym doesn’t look like it is in the pictures for this property. They did provide ear plugs due to the busy city street below. Although your super close to University City area, we didn’t feel safe walking anywhere. Overall not bad, but we will not likely be visiting again as I do like the hospitality and convenience and security that comes with a true hotel.

I enjoyed my stay at The Sloan so much I have already rebooked for another 13 day residency! The street (ludlow) that the building is located on is a bit sleepier than I thought it would be, and. was a bit nervous about location at first. It ended up being excellent - close to all I needed, safe, and quiet at night. The accommodations were EXCELLENT! Everything is new, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The restock area was very handy on the first floor, the gym was sufficient, and the code entries made me feel extremely safe and protected. Building support was great- my tv got a bit glitchy and was fixed right away. Response from support was polite, fast and pleasant. Who could ask for more! Thank you, Sonder, for a great new home away from home.

The area around the property was a little sketchy, but the suite was nice and quite. The amenities were good. Having a kitchen was great and even a washer/dryer combo.

It is a very new property in the university city part of town. Close to Presbyterian Hospital. The walk is safe and not bad at all. Don’t fear- it’s university city! As for the hotel, it is very clean and well kept. BUT, it is a total self-serve property - no checkin assistance, no front desk, no nothing. If you need extra towels you get them yourself. The property is safe and secure with private codes. So the price is a bit steep for having little to no staff to pay. Next time, I would stay elsewhere for the same price or less and have service. I’d walk a bit future for those features.

Good quality and price. Love the full kitchen and size of the room. The walls are thin, so it’s easy to hear your neighbor. The wall to the apts. is not attractive and for the most part felt safe walking, but not late at night. Ramen restaurant around the corner is great for carry out.

Staying at this property has, by far, been the worst experience I have ever had. Upon entering, the room had a distinct smell of garlic. It took two days to figure out it was coming from the kitchen sink from past travelers who had thrown in a garlic. The worst offense, however, is my ongoing battle to retrieve a precious heirloom that I had left in the room before checking out. Upon realizing that my item was still in the room, I immediately called this company's customer service line to ask if I may get a temporary access code into the room to retrieve my property. I was told that the cleaning crew had already come by to clean the room and did not report anything. Even though I was standing right outside the door to my room, I was still not allowed temporary access to retrieve my property, with the company stating that I cannot be allowed inside once cleaning crew has come by. I was then forced to leave the property to catch my flight. Once I left, a family member also reached out to customer service on my behalf, which the rep told him explicitly on the phone that NO ONE has come by to check the room, not even the cleaning crew. So imagine my anger that I was told I could not enter the room because the room has been cleaned when he was told that no one had come by to clean the room. This company is a fraud with no real customer service. I Iost a precious heirloom that I could never get back, all because the company would not give me a temporary access code.

Most affordable place to stay near the University of Pennsylvania. The hotel property in South is very nice, however the street where the hotel is located is a little bit scary.

Perfect stay for a solo traveler who enjoys being a home cook! The whole experience is incredibly tech-savvy without being overbearing. I felt safe, private and cozy right away, and I’d highly recommend The Sloan for anyone trying to stay within earshot of UPenn and the surrounding area.

Room was nice. Had a lot of noise from room above. Was in town for my wife’s surgery at Penn. Her stay ran longer than expected. I tried unsuccessfully to extend my stay in the same room but couldn’t make contact. Ended up going to another hotel

A beautiful suite, nicely furnished in a minimalist, modern style, and easy to access with a single code for both the building and the room. The building is in a slightly transitional block, but is near to the Penn campus and lots of amenities.

I loved the apartment. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was equipped nicely. I do suggest moving the microwave off of the washer/dryer. When the washer hit the spin cycle it bounced the microwave nearly off of the machine. I had to move it to the counter. I am sure the neighbors wondered what was happening as the noise was crazy. The area was safe and it was conveniently located. Had an issue a couple times with the Roku TV. While I was watching a show, the TV suddenly switched out of what I was watching and changed inputs to android TV. It was as if someone else was operating the TV. When I tried to change it back to Roku I was unable to. The remote would only work to power off/on. After reaching out on the app, and chatting with someone, I found one very small power button under the TV itself. With some trial and error I was finally able to switch the input back manually. However, later that night, it did it again. Took me out of the show I was watching and back to main screen scrolling through apps on its own. The Roku remote does not have an option for changing the input for the TV. I finally turned it off and used my tablet. It was very weird and made me uneasy that someone else was accessing the TV. I unplugged it. Other than the TV, the apartment was nice, new appliances and clean. I would stay here again.

This was a great place to stay for multiple nights as a family or student. Think of this more as an apartment than hotel, no daily cleaning or services or front desk, but all the necessities are provided. A working and stocked kitchen are good including dishes and dishwasher. Compact washer dryer was great to have. Street outside is dirty and dark at night, but neighborhood is generally good for Philly.

I had a great unbothered stay and I appreciate the minimal interaction. The room was nicely designed minus the poor lighting in the bathroom. Modern chic style updated kitchen area, washer and dryer in the room. I enjoyed having everything within walking distance.

Nice and clean. The AC is a bit noisy, fan needs service. Not a constant noise. Keeps vibrating occasionally. Shower curtain ripped. Outside garbsge was strewn on the sidewalk for a day, rear allyway needs cleaned up, outside window.

Where do I start? The sofa had biological stains that I was not interested in investigating. The TV didn’t work and despite my calls for repair, nobody came to fix. They tried to give me a $50 off coupon for my next stay which will happen never. The street was dangerous on a street with abandoned building and broken glass near where I parked. Other than that, it was a newly renovated property, and seemed nice, but I wouldn’t dare sit on the couch with possible DNA splurges, nor would I feel comfortable leaving this unguarded hotel at night. No receptionist, no room cleaning, no service.
