The location and the property itself were lovely, as was the young lady who served us with the excellent breakfast. The bed was large and really comfortable.
We were shown to our 'suite by the owner, Karen. The suite had to be accessed from outside the building via a short walk and up two flights of stairs. Fortunately, my wife and I are fit 'oldies', (I'm 85) but had we not been, or disabled, the access would have been a real struggle. Nobody offered to help us with our luggage. The suite was quite sumptuous, but in my view rather pretentious and a bit 'glitzy' like the rest of the building. Karen said that if we need more milk, we could go down to the bar and they would provide it. There were 4 sachets of milk which provided enough for two drinks (one each). The coffee from the machine, turned out to be lukewarm. There was no service phone in the suite. When paying £220 per night for the suite, one would expect a small jug of fresh milk in the fridge as a matter of course.
There were no glasses in the bathroom, which is a pre-requisite. For hygiene reasons, there should be two glasses (plastic for safety) as a norm.
At around 6.30 we went down to the bar to book a table for our evening meal. It was a fiasco, taking the girl on duty ages to sort out a table. There was no apology. Eventually, we booked for 7.15 (couldn't get us in the main dining room). We waited about 30 minutes which was acceptable. We were expecting a fine dining experience, but the menu turned out to be a typical 'pup grub' offering - very disappointing. My wife chose gammon, which had lots of gristle in it. I chose fish and chips which arrived on a smallish plate, piled high, giving the impression of value for money. The 'fish' was massively over battered masking the taste of the fish - not nice. The chips were 'warmish' and a bit mushy. I left them all. We had one wine and a pint of Cider - the bill came to £62. We returned to out suite, hoping to read - it was impossible as there was no suitable lighting, just a dim table lamp and ceiling lights.

The interiors, food and service!
The room was very hot, but it was a heatwave, so we understand!
