I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Metro Hotel. I picked it because it was close to the Castro Theater and the film festival I was attending, but I was also delighted to find that there were numerous restaurants of all kinds nearby and many shops, even a pet store across the street. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room always clean. There is no elevator, however, so if you need one, this is not the place for you. This is a charming hotel that makes for a very pleasant stay.

The room was very clean, the location was great for us, the staff was friendly and helpful and the bed was very comfortable. The room needed some old and better lighting.

The staff and owner really care , and the staff who assisted me are very helpful and kind .
The rooms are very clean . The hotel is a great value for the area and San Francisco in general. close to other neighborhoods too .
You get the amenities of home, and a quiet space for a fraction of what is asked elsewhere in SF. the Front desk staff and housekeeping set a high bar for other hotels .
