We were greater warmly and shown a map with guidance around the best places to eat.
The room was really clean and comfortable with chilled water and snacks in the room.
The bathroom was dated and the shower nozzle would not attach to the wall.
The shared kitchen was really well stocked with breakfast food. Cereals, toast and spreads, yoghurts, cheese, pastries and muffins. There was a range of juices and coffee tea etc.
The building is old and there is very creaky floorboards, there was also a small amount of noise between rooms. Luckily our neighbours were quiet and overall the area is quiet.
We enjoyed local bars and cafes.

We received a warm welcome from Anthony, he was really nice and provided good insights and what to do in the city. This was our first accommodations when we arrived and we could not ask for a better place. Well located, not to far from the city center by tram, in a quiet neighbor with all the commodities nearby.

Building is right on tram only street, so quiet for traffic at night. Closest tram stop is 4 min walk, and then 10-15 min ride into Edinburgh.
Shared kitchen has all amenities for cooking.
Beds are comfortable, bedding is super comfortable. Shower pressure is solid.
Some restaurants within 5 min walk, with Tesco Superstore about 5 min away.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pillars! All staff members were kind and helpful. We made good use of the kitchen for tea, light breakfasts, and for takeaway food. Our room was cozy, clean, and lovely. We would be happy to visit again!
