Liz & Graham are wonderful hosts, that make a real effort to know their guests.
They have created a very welcoming B&B with a home like feel.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Brook House to anyone that wants to enjoy the Lakes District.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Brook House and it was definitely one of the highlights of our three-day trip to the Lake District.
Our hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and they genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. They even remembered our breakfast preferences from the first morning, which was such a thoughtful touch.
We also really appreciated all the local travel tips and recommendations. The house is full of useful maps and guidebooks, and many of the suggestions they shared were the kind of hidden gems that only locals would know. Their advice made a real difference to our trip.
What impressed us most was how they treated us more like friends than guests. We enjoyed chatting with them, and they even kindly gave us a lift to the train station when we left, which we really appreciated.
The house is surrounded by a beautiful, well-kept garden in a peaceful setting. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It was a little on the small side and didn’t have a chair, but we actually enjoyed sitting on the bed and looking out of the lovely window view.
Breakfast was another highlight. There was a good choice each morning, and everything was fresh, delicious and healthy.
Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Brook House to anyone visiting the Lake District.
