Situated in Ghent, this charming house for $120 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Located in a very quiet surrounding, amid the gardens. The nights are really silent. Private parking. The house has everything necessary for relaxing, cooking, etc. You will find the house very clean and hygienic. When you arrive, you only have to empty your suitcases and you are ready for the start of your holiday. Many shops are nearby: vegetables, bakery, pharmacy, etc ...: 300m (+ Carrefour supermarket: 1.5 km). Ideal location to visit the historic cities in Flanders, and even abroad.

Marc was very helpful in providing all info for Gent and the surrounding area. Wonderful house, and honestly felt like staying in a brand new house. The best VRBO we have stayed in, of many VRBO houses. Thank you Marc! Wonderfully quiet neighborhood. Easy 10 minute De Lijn bus ride to city center.

I stayed at the lovely wooden house with my Mother and 1.5 year old son. Marc and his wife were so lovely, kind and helpful to us during our stay. Rest assured you can ask them anything and they will look after you as guests.
The house is quirky, with interesting art work, fabulous kitchen and lounge area, with a great TV and wifi. There is also the bonus of a separate utility room leading to the garden. The house was spotlessly clean and warm and cosy.
The area is safe and so quiet and peaceful at night! The local bus can be found just a few minutes walk away into the centre of Ghent (38/39) and the bus stop is down the road, turn left. We purchased a bus pass with 10 trips on the ticket from the local Carrefour supermarket (turn right at bottom of street, approx 10 minute walk). There is also a very large Carrefour which is only a 5 minute drive away (turn left at bottom of street and then left again at T junction).
Dampoort train station is close by which we used to get a train to Antwerp. We drove to Bruges in 45 minutes and parked right in the centre in a car park called St John’s, which I recommend.
Ghent is a beautiful city!! I recommend getting in by bus as this is much easier due to emission zones by car. Good places to visit with kids would be the Harry Malter Zoo and Blaarmeersen Lake had great parks and beaches for children, we saw after we visited that the 39 bus actually goes there direct from the wooden house.

Schöne Urlaubswoche in tollem modernen Holzhaus
Wir durften eine Woche in diesem sehr schönen außergewöhnlichen Haus verbringen. Das Objekt entspricht zu 100 % der Beschreibung. Es ist gut ausgestattet, sehr modern und verfügt über einen kleinen aber angenehmen ruhigen Garten. Der Kontakt zu den sehr freundlichen Vermietern war von Anfang bis Ende hervorragen. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen und können dieses Haus definitiv empfehlen.

Great house and location
The cleanest house we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable, has everything you need and situated in a very quiet location but easy to get into Ghent by bus. Take time to look at all the interesting artwork around the house, my favourite was the kitchen clock! The hosts were lovely and very helpful. Parking space a great bonus and as the public transport system is so good we didn't use the car until it was time to go home. Lots to see in Ghent and the tourist information centre is very helpful, we bought the Ghent City Card, which definitely worked for us and you could use it to get the bus back to the Wooden house. From Ghent we took the train to Bruges, again very easy to do. Would definitely stay again if we came back to Ghent.

Gent und Umgebung
Unsere Unterkunft - innen wie außen ein Holzhaus - war sehr schön und geräumig und mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet.
Die im Haus nebenan wohnenden Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber dennoch diskret.
Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Mooi compleet huis vlakbij centrum Gent
Het huis was ruim en schoon. Mooi dat het helemaal van hout was. De inrichting was praktisch en de grote tv viel erg in de smaak bij de tieners.
We werden gastvrij ontvangen.
Vanaf het huis ben je in 10 minuten met de auto in het centrum van Gent maar ook met openbaar vervoer is het centrum goed bereikbaar.
Een aanrader voor als je houdt van een comfortabele plek jn de buurt van het centrum.

Klasse Wohnung in Belgiens schönster Stadt
Die Wohnung war sehr schön, wie es beschrieben war. Vollständig ausgestattet und schön eingerichtet. Die Vermieter waren immer erreichbar und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir haben überhaupt nichts vermisst und genossen einen sehr schönen Urlaub auch in dieser schönen Wohnung.
Neben der Einrichtung, der Ausstattung und den sehr netten Vermietern spielt auch die Lage eine Rolle. Die Innenstadt von Gent ist innerhalb von 10 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Und auch unsere anderen Ziele: Brügge, Brüssel und Antwerpen waren innerhalb von 30 - 60 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Für uns unerwartet, war Gent aber die schönste Stadt. Es hat manchmal etwas vom musealen Brügge und gleichzeitig lebte es, wie Brüssel und Antwerpen. So verbrachten wir die meiste Zeit in Gent.
Im Zusammenspiel mit dieser Wohnung ein perfekter Urlaub für uns.

Une belle maison proche du centre historique de Gand
Belle maison, très bien équipée et décorée. Des hôtes très sympas, très bons conseillers pour passer un agréable séjour.
La maison se situe à 10 minutes en voiture du centre historique de Gand, et proche de grands axes qui permettent de visiter facilement d"autres villes et sites.

Sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung. Sehr netter Vermieter, der direkt daneben wohnt. Super Lage etwas außerhalb von Gent, aber die Bushaltestelle 100m um die Ecke. Gute Ausgangslage für Besuche in Brügge, Antwerpen, Brüssel etc.
Lüftungsanlage sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, da im ganzen Haus sehr trockene Luft ist.
Es wäre schön, wenn Strom/Wasser/Gas in der Miete enthalten wären und nicht am Ende noch separat abgerechnet werden.

Maison très agréable !!!
Nous avons passé 6 jours avec ma femme et nos deux enfants, dans une très belle maison en bois. Très propre. Très bien équipée. Décorée avec soins et beaucoup de goût. Marc et son épouse sont très gentils et disponibles pour toutes nos demandes d'information.
Gand est une très belle ville et stratégique pour visiter les villes alentours comme Brugge. Anvers et Bruxelles.
Je recommande sans hésiter.

Ideale Unterkunft, um Flandern zu erkunden
Ein außergewöhnliches Haus mit einer liebevollen Inneneinrichtung, in dem man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Sehr netter Empfang durch Marc, der uns nicht nur das Haus gezeigte, sondern auch viele gute Ratschläge gab, was man in Gent besichtigen sollte. Brügge, Antwerpen und Brüssel sind leicht mit dem Zug zu erreichen, was wir auf seinen Rat hin auch taten. Als Entspannung zwischen den Städtebesuchen wies Marc uns auf Cadzand an der Nordsee hin. Danke für alles - es war ein gelungener Kurzurlaub!

A true home away
Good location for day trips (via auto or public transportation), very clean, comfortable, more than enough space for our family of four, outdoor patio for meals a plus. It was a a terrific home base for our trip. Owners are very friendly and really want their guests to enjoy their stay.

Grosszügig, sauber und ruhig gelegen
Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, schön eingerichtet mit allem, was für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im wunderschönen Gent notwendig ist. Wir (zwei Erwachsene, zwei Kinder) haben hier 11 Nächte verbracht und sind rundum zufrieden. Das Ehepaar Braem war jederzeit erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit.

Fast Hotel-Service
Sehr großzügiges, top ausgestattetes Haus in absolut ruhiger Lage - man merkt gar nicht, dass man in der Stadt ist. Bushalt und kleiner Supermarkt sind in der Nähe. Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und extrem hilfsbereit (man erhält Tipps für Ausflüge oder Unterstützung bei Autopannen). Vielen Dank an Lute und Marc!!!
Das Haus ist für Familien gut geeignet, allerdings gibt es kein größeres Außengelände - also Ballspiele o.ä. sind dort nicht möglich. Dafür kann man aber gut radfahren. Gent ist eine sehr radfahrerfreundliche Stadt mit einer tollen Fahrradinfrastruktur.
Wer Katzen mag, kann sich auch schnell mit der Nachbarskatze anfreunden, die uns täglich einen Besuch abgestattet hat. Sehr nett, die Kinder hatten viel Spaß damit.
Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was das Herz begehrt, Handtücher, Geschirrtücher, Reinigungsmittel, Toilettenpapier, ja sogar Backpapier, Alufolie, Frischhaltefolie usw. sind vorhanden. Lediglich ein Salatbesteck fehlt noch.
Es gibt auch einen riesigen Fernseher, den wir allerdings nicht genutzt haben (es gibt auch kaum deutschsprachige Programme). Spiele sind vorhanden und auch die zwei Toiletten sind ein echter Vorteil.
Außerdem liegt Gent so günstig, dass von dort aus viele Ziele (auch die Küste) für Tagesausflüge mit dem PKW oder der Bahn gut erreichbar sind.
Einziges Manko: Das Haus hat eine automatische Belüftung und ist gut isoliert. Bei Außen-Temperaturen über 30°C wurde es im Haus unerträglich heiß - offenbar hat die Lüftung tagsüber warme Luft hineingepumpt. Wir haben das Problem mit dem Vermieter Marc besprochen, der hier aber zukünftig Abhilfe schaffen will.
Fazit: Empfehlenswert - im Hochsommer aber nachfragen, ob das Lüftungsproblem schon gelöst ist.

Nous avons séjourné une petite semaine en famille dans cette maison en bois très agréable, bien équipée et très bien conçue. Les propriétaires, habitant la maison d'à côté, étaient toujours disponibles. Nous recommandons donc vivement cette location.

La vivienda es magnífica. Totalmente recomendable.
El precio es muy bajo para la equipación que tiene.
Tiene de todo, y todo en perfecto estado, electrodomésticos de todo tipo, calefacción, Wifi de calidad, televisión grande, utensilios de cocina abundantes y variados, etc
Todo está nuevo y además todo está super limpio.
La vivienda está revestida de madera tanto en el interior como en el exterior dándole un aspecto acogedor y confortable. La decoración de la vivienda es atractiva y sorprendente, los propietarios son coleccionistas de trampantojos, objetos y cuadros con ilusiones ópticas y así han decorado la vivienda.
Los propietarios, Lut y Marc son extraordinariamente encantadores, simpáticos y amables. Viven en una preciosa casa a pocos metros de distancia, lo cual facilita la resolución de cualquier tipo de problema. Lut habla muy bien el Castellano, ideal para viajeros Españoles.
El barrio es bonito y tranquilo, se aparca el coche fácilmente.
Gante se encuentra en el centro geométrico de las principales ciudades de Bélgica, 60 kms a Bruselas, 60 kms a Amberes y 50 kms a Brujas.
Si tuviera que valorar la vivienda en una escala de 100 puntos le otorgaría 100 puntos.

This house is amazingly nice,clean, modern, and spacious! Marc and Lut are excellent hosts and genuinely nice people. The amount of room in the house, the kitchen and other amenities, and the cleanliness were all great surprises. There is a bus line close to the house that takes you to the center of Ghent quickly. Carrefour has a very large supermarket a short drive up the road. Ghent itself is not only a very picturesque town but also is central to taking short trips to Antwerp, Bruges, and Ypres. (Take the train to Antwerp and/or park on the outskirts; the city traffic is horrible due to construction.)
This is probably the nicest stay we have ever had through Homeaway. If we get back to Belgium, we would definitely return here.

This house is a well maintained wood built home. It is well appointed with modern appliances and designed in an ecologically sound manner It is situated in a leafy suburb of the city. It is the ideal location for touring Belgium. There is free parking outside the property.. The owners are helpful friendly. A good let.
