Its location is key. We love the history of the building not to mention the beautiful architecture.
The gold lounge seemed crowded - the chairs in the dining area are almost too large and create a problem walking around with drinks or plates of food.

The location. Very central.
Very old and dated hotel. Cracks on the bathroom tile. Rusted taps in the sink. Wear and tear in the carpet in some areas. The highlight of this hotel is mainly the lobby that is spectacular but the rooms lack modern facilities such as a clock as a basic.
The lift was extraordinarily slow. The checking in process was extremely challenging and did not meet a 5* hotel process. But I have discussed this with the management. No need to add the details here.
I opted for a quite room hover it was definitely not quiet. One evening there was a door that was constantly barking and howling while I was resting.
