This pleasant small motel near the SB waterfront is a real find! Affordable (on a weeknight in fall at least) for SB, much better value than most of the rest of the beach area places, many of which are overpriced for what you get. Marina Beach was V clean, quiet, leafy location on a quiet avenue can't be beat (walking distance to lively Lower State Street, where many pubs & restaurants are found, and also to Stearns Wharf and the marina district). The grounds are quite nice, with a grassy center area w/ seating & a gas fire ring, plus free bikes for guests. Our Queen standard room was smallish, but so well designed it felt larger. Everything you need- fridge/freezer, microwave etc. good lighting, ceiling fan, desk. The bathroom is VERY nice for this price point w/ a big ol' shower & fluffy towels. Bed was v comfy. Included continental breakfast, good selection of eats, & several nice nearby eating areas. Some of the rooms have kitchenettes. The pet fee was only $15, the lowest I paid on a weeklong trip w/ our dog, and no charge to park, unlike many SB hotels. There were no hassles here; I would gladly stay here again. And again.
Really, nothing. It's that good.

It was very close to the beach, nearby restaurants and had a good courtyard for socializing in with plenty to do. The firepit was nice and there’s a cozy hanging swing my wife and I enjoyed. The staff were super helpful and polite and the whole property gave a relaxing vibe.
Parking was really tight.

Comfortable place if a bit cramped. The breakfast is typical American inn style (very limited and not at all interesting). Great location and doggie friendly!!
Price fluctuates depending on what's going on in the area so difficult to plan as a traveling family looking for a clean place to sleep

It is very close to the beach, with easy access to Santa Barbara town. The staff was very helpful and responsive to requests (for additional towels, for example). The small rooms are very well designed and in excellent condition.
This is a MOTEL, not a hotel! My fault that I didn't realize this, as Booking.com advertises it as a hotel, although the property is quite clear that it is a motel and not a hotel. This was surprising, especially at the very high price.
