Quiet, confortable, and breakfast to be improved

Beds were really confortable ! Room was clean. Access to the terrace from the rooms on the ground floor. Very quiet. Half of the car park is covered. Perfect location to visit Monterey and surroundings.

Breakfast must be improved (variety + quantity).

Clean, nice size rooms in a great location.

Staff was excellent and responded to inquiries quickly.

There was a tiny bit of a musty smell in the room but likely due to ocean air.

Low cost value.

This was a low cost stop for us on our drive from LA to San Francisco in winter. We wanted to see the Monterey area. It was good value. The little heater box heated the room adequately. The rooms are a bit dated but fine. The breakfast was included - toast, cereal, boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt etc - more than some hotel provide and was great. The room had a fridge. Close to the locals restaurants - not the expensive tourist ones. Staff were so helpful with tourist tips. It is 2 stories so some people may need to request a lower floor room. The 2 queen rooms were quite large.

Bathrooms were a bit old - but that's what you get for value for money. Small breakfast area - I can imagine it would not cater for busy times very well - we were in the room with 10 people (2 families of 5) and there was only a couple of tables left.

it was quiet. staff upon check in was very pleasant and professional. Wi-Fi included.

rooms were clean but small. photos on line looked much better than the real room. shower had poor water flow. basin slow draining. heater was just a portable and took a long time to warm the room.

We like this Hotel!

The location-very easy to reach, close to the downtown, parking included, very comfortable big room, clean and comfortable bed linen, staff - super friendly, check-n, check-out very fast.

Lack of privacy due to communal deck outside room window. Breakfast quite limited. Very much overpriced.

The rooms were big, clean and bright; breakfast had so many options and good products; location is great.

Great weekend!

- Location was excellent... easily walked to both Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row! - Room was very comfortable and clean - Staff very friendly and helpful

- Not many options for breakfast - Not enough room (tables, chairs) in breakfast area for very many guests. - Coffee was too strong and no decaf available

A decent motel/inn with great location for walking to downtown Monterey.

The check in and check out was very efficient, and the ladies working the front desk were very friendly! Free wifi that worked very well. Coffee and Tea available throughout the day was nice Location is AWESOME for walking to quaint downtown Monterey. Was attending a wedding at the Barns at Cooper Molera, which was an easy 5 min walk. Also super close to City Hall.

Property is quite old. Very much a 2-star motel type. The elevator was very slow and had not been inspected in a while. Could definitely use a "facelift" as most of the interiors were pretty worn down. Breakfast was mediocre, minimal selection. Kind of loud in the am with buses across the road for the school.
