This was a great boutique hotel. We didn't realize that it was very new and had opened only 2 weeks before our stay. The hotel is beautifully designed and in a good location for all the sights and sounds around the area. It is away from the city, but close to a small town if anything is needed. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. There were some hiccups with the hotel being so new, but it was never a problem as the issues were quickly resolved. The breakfast was very nice with a nice spread and a chef available to cook your order. We really loved the design of the hotel and will stay here again if we visit Iceland.
Not all the facilities were open, but the hotel made up for it by giving us vouchers to use other facilities if we wanted to. Apart from this, there was nothing that we didn't like about the hotel .

The view from the room and second floor is just lovely. Food quality is excellent and both chefs looked after our food requests at dinner. The welcome champagne was a nice surprise . Staff are welcoming and friendly and ready to assist. Northern lights are possible and we had a fantastic night watching the lights dance in the sky from the comfort of our terrace room. Thank you to Ashnika for looking after us.
This hotel is not fully finished and there is currently no spa facilities. Although advertised as a spa hotel, so please note if you are planning to stay in October/November 2026. Workmen were on site at time of stay. Also worth noting there are no TVs in the rooms, a large TV viewing room with large cinema style seating is available for guests. Hotel is accessed from the main road via a single track road, which at time of stay was unfinished in parts. Even with a few little snags we had a fantastic one night stay and would love to return and see the completed hotel.
