We loved Bern. It is such a beautiful city, with the feeling of a town.
Our hotel was welcoming, authentic and was in the heart of the old town. We could easily walk to the hotel from the station, and also walked to most places of interest, restaurants and bars. We could also take advantage of the free public transport, which is easy to use. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had appropriate basic facilities. The staff were helpful and efficient. Breakfast was a treat, with a range of buffet items.
We all would have liked some firm pillows available. Also it was quite warm during our stay. We were on the top floor and we appreciated being able to open windows and use a portable fan. It would probably be quite hot in summer, and noisy from the restaurants in the street if you needed to leave windows open.

Excellent location, room is tight with little surfaces to use. But we made it work. Staff is great and the room is spotless. Great location. Breakfast is ok, but the earlier you arrive the more choices you will have. Seems like they put out a limited amount of items, so the earlier you arrive for breakfast the more choices you will have.
Having to get to breakfast on the early side....also the tight room.

Good location, nice breakfast buffet with lovely lady serving and option to sit outside.
No air conditioning and room was very hot/ stuffy - there was a fan but it did it really cool the room. It’s quite a bustling noisy street so had to shut windows at night

The location is in Downtown Bern. That is the only advantage.
Although the room was clean, half the lights were not working in the bathroom. The shower flooded the bathroom floor and into the bedroom. When I mentioned that to the person at the front desk, she seemed annoyed with me!
The advertised breakfast that came with the price of the room is not a hot breakfast. The coffee was good.
