A wonderful stay…. I didn’t want to leave!

We have just spent 3 weeks travelling in Canada, staying in many BnBs and were made welcome everywhere we went. I can say without doubt that our stay at Little Black Bear Lodge was the best of the whole holiday This stunning property has a wonderful location above Bridge Lake (with a jetty) It is so peaceful and relaxing and we were able to watch bears and deer in the garden… just amazing 🤩 Maya is such a warm and welcoming host and has thought of every little detail to make your stay as perfect as possible. Her breakfast is superb and sets you up for the whole day.

We had an amazing time! The location, the wildlife, the bedroom, the shared living room and kitchen and the breakfast!! Everything was perfect! Maya was the best host we could wish for. Thank you again Maya, we wish you and your husband all the best.

Really nice place to stay at, specially when driving from Vancouver to Jaspin.

Very clean and comfi, home away from home, breakfast was great and well beyond expectation. The pier by the lake was great for swimming.

Maya was a terrific hostess and her place is gorgeous.

The accomodation was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. Our hostess was warm, welcoming and interesting. The breakfast was delicious and pleniful--beyond expectation. The setting was spectacular.

A peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

The hosts were amazing, friendly and helpful. The house and facilities were excellent. We were able to use the private jetty, rowing boat and pedals. The breakfast was lovely with lots of homemade treats. A lovely 2 night stopover.

The hosts have made it possible to prepare a bite to eat with a lovely "tea kitchen". Thought fruit and chocolates on arrival - was just the added touch! A friendly fox and deer to greet you on arrival!

Great stay!

Lovely B&B, we would stay again. The host was really friendly and made us a fantastic Suisse breakfast with eggs cooked to order. We had the family suite, with big comfortable beds and ample room. The bathroom was adequate, with more than enough towels. The location is beautiful, great view! Big deck with seating and BBQ for guests to use. We saw a fox and some squirrels on the property, 5 minutes out of the gate a black bear with 4 cubs. Parking on site.

I hate to do this because we had a great time and would stay again, but it could have been cleaner. The bathroom had hairs (not from us) and it was a little dusty in our room. We cleaned a bit ourselves. To be fair, if we would have addressed this with the host she probably would have solved this for us.

The perfect place to relax in the nature with an excellent hospitality!

We had a wonderful stay, the lodge is located at the beautiful Bridge Lake - a pieceful place in the nature. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped with everything you’ll need. But above all, the hosts Maya & Juerg are absolutely welcoming, friendly and always ready to give a 5-star service!

An excellent place for a relaxing trip.

Maya, the host was a kind lady with absolutely welcoming impression right from beginning. Her excellent breakfasts was a great iconic bonus of this stay.

Delightful, charming, the views amazing!

The breakfast was unreal, what a beautiful and delicious spread. Not only did we have fresh fruit, jams, breads, cereals and yogurts topped with granola etc. But we were made fresh eggs to order and bacon and sausage and a Swedish take on hash browns. The views from sunroom while sipping on a perfectly brewed coffee was the best start to our days while we stayed there!

We felt so well cared for.

The location, home, rooms were all superb and the rooms provide little extras which were well appreciated. The B&B has a European flavour and is meticulously kept. The breakfast, we all agreed was "the best in Canada!" Maya was a kind, congenial host who made our visit perfect. We highly recommend this b&b.

We can think of nothing which we didn't love!

Wonderful. Fresh air, boating and horse riding.

Superb. Spotlessly clean. Fabulous breakfast. Beautiful decor. Delightful and very helpful hostess. A little piece of European grace and culture in the Carriboo. We hope to be able to return in the future. Highly recommended.

Awesome!

The owners were wonderful people, extremely knowledgeable on wildlife, super friendly and helpful . The views are spectacular. Dining on their beautiful appointed decks, whilst being surrounded by spectacular nature and views is amazing. Cooking was lean and good. We felt very welcome into a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We were only surprised that the roads in turned into a slippery mud bath during rain. Difficult to navigate in rain only with our rear wheel drive car. We were in danger to get stuck and of course it is out of cellphone range. So in this case, rain and rear wheel drive, we recommend to call in from Tattla Lake and set up a timeline for staff from the lodge to drive out searching for you in case you got stuck....
