Disappointing

Staff was friendly and helpful.

We knew it would be simple and expected nothing much, but it was very shabby and not really clean. Strange smell and stains on floors.

The price and location were very convenient, but attention needs to be given to cleaning.

Inexpensive and close to hospital where we travelled for surgery. The lady who greeted us was very pleasant. The front facade and landscaping were attractive, and there was easy parking in the rear.

We were "upgraded" to a room with kitchen that was obviously the kitchen facilities for the original house. Toilet facilities and, separately, a shower and sink, were fitted in very small areas. It was difficult to use the toilet with the door closed. There was no surface to put a toiletry bag on near the sink and shower. Many of the windows in the rooms leaked. The kitchen facilities were not very clean and there were hardly any dishes. We could not get the Wi-Fi to work as an Ethernet cord was necessary, and we don't require one at our home.

Building in nice location but needs maintenance and better cleaning.

Location was good but required a car as we were 4 people in 2 rooms so with bus being $3.50 each way, cheaper to take car and pay for parking. Beds were comfortable. Towels were good soft towels. We appreciated that the floors were laminate floors so no carpeting.

1 room was ready when we arrived and the other was not ready but was made up very quickly. Unfortunately, it did not look like the floors were swept as there was still hair and leaves on the floors and spider webs near dresser. In one room, the air-conditioner was missing which wasn't too much of a problem in June but would be later in the summer. They did bring a fan for the second night. We had to have the staff come to get the TV to work as we do not have a ROKU account. One room had no toilet paper even though the room was ready so we had to ask for toilet paper. This room also had little rocks on the floor. Had to go outside to get to room and up narrow stairs with heavy suitcases.

it was very old , there was no exhaust fan in washroom, and blanket and bed sheets were not clean

The wonderful staff made up for run down conditions, definitely met my expectations.

The young women at the reception was extremely helpful and pleasant. My room was not quite ready when I arrived, she was so apologetic and spent time chatting with me and showing me how to get bus tickets and where to go.

it was old and somewhat run down but clean and comfortable.

Perfect place !

Kindest hosts ever! They tell you everything you need to know. The hotel is very well connected to the city centre (the bus stop is less than 1 min away). Moreover, it is clean and cozy. Totally recommended!!! Couldn’t have chosen a better place.

Great staff! Walking distance to the bus stops going to the city centre.

We arrived in Quebec super late and yet the check-in process was smooth and quick. They just gave us instructions but it was very easy to follow. It was just walking distance to the bus stops and a supermarket where you can buy bus tickets. It was quite a quick bus ride to the city centre too! The staff was very helpful and accommodating and they allowed us to leave our luggages for the whole day after we checked out. Plus, there was always hot coffee at the lobby!

Pleasant

The small kitchen in room is very convenient. The staff was very helpful to get our rooms changed when we encountered room problems.

The air conditioner couldn't adjust so it was sometimes too hot in the room. No hair dryer in room, maybe it was because our late check-in, and the office was closed.

it was helpful to have parking and a convenient bus line in front of the building. a small supermarket was nearby.

It didn't have a way to cook but it was nice to have the toaster. you could hear people walking upstairs but it was disruptive.

Very good

The bus really takes only 10-15 minutes max from the hotel to the old town and passes a lot of nice bars, restaurants and shops on the way. Cleanliness was good, grocery store around the corner. Free parking and WIFI. We'd book again!

Good quality rental on bus line to old Quebec City

Right on the bus line to old Quebec City, small kitchen with fridge, micro, toaster, and sink (kitchenware and utensils provided). Friendly staff, but not fully available as office was being painted, but we did stay in mid-September, which is close to end of high season. Free parking, which is rare in Quebec City. Shower and hot water worked well. WiFi was decently fast for a rental.

A/C worked well, but was noisy for night use. Stairs were narrow, but safe.

Exceptional

Nice ambience, clean room and serene atmosphere. However, it's more like a airbnb than a hotel. Has no restaurant.

They decided to start some sort of construction in the room directly above our room on the morning of our departure. We still had a couple of hours before check out but those hours were filled with knocking and banging above us that it was really inconvenient. It was like we were being forced out.

Very good

It was a great place to stay for a family weekend in Quebec City. The location was fabulous, it included free parking, and provided good value.

It provides "no frills" accomodations. None of the conforts of a luxurious 4 or 5-star hotel. However, we'd certainly stay there again.

I believe this guest house should have charge 50$ base on the situation.. no breakfast, room is in a basement, small window....
