Exceptional sunrises on the Maine coast. Beautiful place, highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous spot. Woke up to the sunrise. Enjoyed the beautiful landscaping even in the winter.

the only downside was our water was not very hot. not sure if it was from the sink being worked on as it clogged up. otherwise it was a perfect stay!

Very good

The people were extremely welcoming and friendly at every single encounter. Jamal (sorry if spelled incorrectly) was exceptional at check in. He greeted us with a genuine smile and was kind and informative.

Water in the shower was cold at times

Glorified Motel Room

Convenience to Acadia and town

We thought we were going to be staying at a charming inn with dining room on the water. This exists but only in the main house so be careful when making your reservation. Our room was in a barracks style motel building with a balcony facing the parking lot. The furnishings were very average and the shower is bizarre. It’s a molded insert with numerous shelves that have very limited level space. Your toiletries slip off and fall into the tub and you bump into the shelves picking them up or even just showering.

DINNER ON THE PATIO WAS EXCELLENT. EUROPEAN REISLING WAS EXCELLENT. PATIO FOOD STAFF WAS GREAT. LOCATION TO MAIN STREET WAS EXCELLENT.

OUR ROOM HAD NO OCEAN VIEW. WE EXPECTED SUCH EVEN THOUGH WE KNEW WE WEREN'T STAYING IN THE INN PROPER.

Beautiful historic hotel / Great location

This hotel has a long and interesting history. It is in a great location and within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. It has an amazing view of the harbor and boats. The hot tubs and heated pool were very nice and you have a great view of the water when using them. The continental breakfast was good and nice to have available. We really enjoyed our stay here! My husband especially loved the area and the hotel location.

The beds were clean and comfortable but could have been a little cozier with a thicker mattress cover and maybe another blanket. I’m being picky.

The view was astounding! You could watch to boats go in and out of the harbor.

The continental breakfast was a little lame. Hopefully it was due to covid procedures.

A family favorite location for 3 generations but cost vs value is suddenly an issue for next year.

The complimentary breakfast and overall facility were very nice! Dinner in the Reading Room overlooking the Harbor was exceptional. We enjoyed excellent food and atmosphere in the dining room. There was a talented piano player throughout dinner! Great service!

We had an outside patio with our room but were in a rear building with a view of mainly a large parking lot. They were power washing the exterior wood and things were a mess outside. The building exterior needed work & repainting. They should have addressed this during the pandemic slow period. We have been going here for many years and their prices suddenly show MAJOR increases!

Our room was very comfortable. We enjoyed having our continental breakfast outside by the pool each morning! What a view from our table!!

We were a little disappointed that our nice balcony faced a parking lot. We thought we were going to be facing the water.

Couldn't be better

Perfect location at the edge of town. Walking distance to everything & away from all the crowds and noise . We had a Beautiful ocean view room , impeccably clean. Excellent staff, excellent service. Everyone went above and beyond everyday. So friendly ! The grounds are perfectly manicured , so clean and beautiful gardens throughout.

Lovely, looking forward to returning when there’s water. No shower or flushing was miserable

Location was spectacular, mid May lovely weather. Fire pit was welcoming and lit throughout the day & into the night. Restaurant was outstanding. Quality, service, presentation, ambiance and selection. Perfection, in spite of the fact, the kitchen had only a garden hose for water access.

No water. However, the waterline break was handled professionally.

The inn is located in the prime location of Bar Harbor, nearing restaurants, shops and attractions, all within a short walk. Additionally, the complementary breakfast is wonderful with many quality selections of pastries, fruits and drinks.

The room is a bit outdated. However, it is well kept and clean.
