Great 6 days as always Melbourne never disappoints.

Room was large with high ceilings. Grand staircase and a wonderful old worldly feel. Location great accessibility good to trams & railway station and lots of restaurants.

Step into bathroom potentially a trip hazard, cracked tile & cracked sink.

Classical hotel

location is really convenience!

Can’t have any exception to modify the reservation and cost charge within 24hrs even flight is cancelled with notice few hours ahead. The sound insulation in the room is little poor, and you can hear the sound of footsteps upstairs.

Noisy room

Old fashioned charm

Having asked specifically for a quiet room to only be located in a room situated near a function room with a function on and the noise went straight through the room was unacceptable . When asked for a room change was advised there was nothing else available and that a discount would not be given because of booking through booking.com. There was some compensation given but it is disappointed to be told firstly that as I had booked through booking.com that guests are given poor rooms .

Pleasant, however- room for improvement! Time to renovate & re-invent a little bit, Windsor!!

Traditional feel , location, foyer & service Lovely & clean, comfortable.

Out of date bathrooms .. tiny bath in the junior ‘ suite’ .. could be updated in a way to still reflect tradition but be user friendly! Room service had finished by 10pm! We got back from a show at 11:30pm, would have been great to order in a snack No room service breakfast available .. Very limited complimentary tea / coffee options.. no pods or even coffee bags etc.. Perhaps this was 5 star in 1980.. in 2023, these are not 5 star qualities.

As always our favourite place to stay when visiting Melbourne.

Convenient location coming from the airport & visiting our son in Collingwood. warm & welcoming. Great breakfast. Attentive staff.

A few more t bags & a biscuit would be a treat!

room was very spacious and clean, bed comfortable.

Location and room where great. We were heading to show so had room service dinner, Caesar salad and calamari were great and quick to arrive.

Only stayed for one night, which was a complete shame, would have loved to stay longer.

The beds were incredibly comfortable with pillows that tempted me to become a thief, but I remained good-hearted and left them behind. The breakfast was wonderful, although when I booked through Booking.com I requested breakfast included, this appears to have been a Booking.com issue, not the Windsor's fault.

I have a CPAP machine and as the power points are very low to the skirting, the plug of the machine would not fit in the space. There was a power board in the room, just the one, so I had to chuck my sister-in-law out of her preferred bed and monopolised it to fit my power plug.

The Windsor has been on accommodation list for long time, enjoyed the old fashioned charm flowers

Perfect location Good breakfast but missed fresh fruit...not available on the menu for breakfast. Good pot of Earl Grey tea

NO Fresh fruit for breakfast......not available. Added surcharge on credit card.

Stepping back in time with comfort and gratitude.

This was a surreal experience and the mixture of history and culture of this beautiful city are showcased within the hotel and it's staff! 🙏

I honestly can't fault it in any way.

Very convenient location

The Restaurant dinner and service was wonderful. Enjoyed being in a historical building. The hotel location is very convenient (eg, close to cafes, restaurants and public transport).

The room and bathroom was very small. Noise (eg, footsteps, doors) from upstairs and next door was quite loud. The door between room and bathroom made squeaky noise. Room was quite dark and unable to open the window to get a fresh air.

Incredibly comfortable, great value for money and immaculate service.

The staff of The Windsor go above and beyond to meet your needs. the service is impeccable. The room is incredibly comfortable and the bed so comfortable that you melt into it! We also loved the soaps, shampoo, conditioner, big towels and robes. Just lovely.

Nothing. Our trip went to quickly, next time we will try to stay longer in the hotel.

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I stayed in roon 252 and I loved the room as I was travelling with a girlfriend so requested twin beds and we had a very spacious room with seperate bathroon and dressing room, which was great giving us a bit of space. The staff were very friendly and accomodating with questions on how to get to the theatre etc. The room was spotless and very comfortable.

The floor creaked loudly when walking on it was the only thing I could say but that didn't really bother me.

Great stay in a great hotel in a great city!

Liked the hotel's location, lovely helpful staff and very old and traditional building and hotel with very comfortable rooms and bed. We had breakfast outside of the hotel as we felt the price for both of us was a bit excessive but apart from that, everything was great. Would stay there again next time we are in Melbourne.

The best place to stay in the Melbourne CBD.

We enjoyed The Windsor's old world charm in the middle of Melbourne CBD. We liked the hotel decor & the room was very well equipped with life's necessary comforts. We found the location very convenient for the places we wanted to visit not to mention the free tram to many of the tourist attractions. The staff were so accommodating and the price for our stay was very reasonable considering our location. The hotel's close proximity to everything is awesome! 😃 😊 😀 😄 😁

We wished we could have stayed longer. 😪
