War wunderschön, aber 3-4 Tage reichen in dem Hotel

Wunderschön in der Natur gelegen, absolute Ruhe, sehr freundliches Personal und die Ausflüge waren alle top organisiert!

Kein Pool zum schwimmen, nicht genügend Liegen wenn die Gäste von den Ausflügen zurückkommen! Keine Sonnenschirme!

Déception...

Les chaises longues en bois piscine principal de l'autre coté bar ne sont pas confortables, difficile de se reposer ou lire, musique du bar trop forte alors qu'il n'y avait personne au bar. La piscine du bar est chauffée 36° alors que l'autre n'y est pas. Jardinier intervenant à 15H pour souffler les feuilles. Prix des cocktails à plus de 17€, jus de fruit bouteille et sirop: trop sucré. La distance pour aller à notre chambre, chemin en pente, on devait appeler une voiturette. Service au restaurant le soir, trop d'attente (plus d'une heure le premier soir), vin au verre 30$ Dommage pas de source chaude, et les sources chollin (gratuite) ne sont pas à coté de cette hotel, obligé de s'y rendre en voiture mais grosse galère pour s'y garer, on vous demande de payer 5000 colonnes.

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

One word to describe my whole experience at Amor Arenal would be BREATHTAKING!!! From the moment I booked my 20th wedding anniversary trip, I counted the days to be at this luxurious and romantic destination. Nothing would prepare me what was to come. As you arrive you are greeted by an outdoor reception area that was truly beautiful. There you’re able to unwind with coffee, tea and cookies while they get you ready to check in. Marolin and Gabriel were knowledgeable and friendly. They made our welcome even more magical. Once we arrived to our casita the dream began. The casitas are absolutely amazing!!! They are so astoundingly gorgeous that you don’t even want to leave them. From the bathroom to your own private jacuzzi, it’s like a dream come true. The experiences they offer are also worthwhile. We reserved the Chef’s Corner with Chef Guillermo, an exceptional experience and delicious, mouth watering food. Chef chooses a 6 course meal which he pairs with his favorite combination wines. We had such a great time learning and exploring different pallets and chatting the night away with Chef Guillermo. He made us smile, laugh and drool with his creations. The other experience for our last night was the romantic dinner. Similar to Chef’s Corner, they choose a 6 course meal and pair it with wines of their choice. From the moment we arrived, we were taken into a magical romantic dinner. The ambiance, decor and music were some of the highlights of the night. Jose, took care of us and made sure we felt truly special. His sweet personality and attention to detail made it one night to remember. Both experiences will forever live in our hearts. Everyone who crossed our path, made us feel welcomed and appreciated. They made us rejoice in choosing Amor Arenal as our destination home away from home.

It's one of the best hotels I've ever been in. Located in the middle of the jungle, spectacular rooms and the stuff were so helpful and nice. I hope to come back soon to this place!

Beautiful accommodations.

The breakfast was delicious. The massage service was incredible. The patio was gorgeous, especially when the volcano came out.

The price is wayyyyyy too much for this property. I found other properties half the price that were just as beautiful. I think you are paying for people to be extra friendly and to be at your beck and call. If that's your sort of thing, go for it. I personally like to be left alone. The staff was a little over the top in my opinion, but hey again, if you like that sort of thing, go for it.

The best hotel ever!! Everything was amazing. We came here in our honeymoon and had the best experience, the hotel is really pretty and the location is great with a view to the volcano and the forest.. the room is absolutely WOW, the hotel is like part of the nature. The service was amazing, anything we want or need we just call the reception and they help with plesure. The staff is very frindley, always smiling and asking if we need something. we had a lot of conversations with staff members, they are all amazing. This hotel made our honeymoon even better. Wonderful & special property, staff is lovely, gorgeous views!

I stayed two nights here at the end of May, a solo trip. I cannot say enough about how welcoming and friendly the staff were, and the level of service. A special shout out to Jogebeth for always checking in and taking care of any of my needs! I was placed in unit 22, which is down the hill, quite a bit. I had asked ahead of time to get a room with an amazing view, if possible, even if that meant being further away from the amenities. And boy, did this room deliver! I think I had one of the best views in the property. The room is very spacious and clean, comfortable, with many different extra touches…a stocked mini bar (that you can use for free the first time, restocks are extra), espresso machine & milk frother, robes, hair dryer & straightener, dehumidifier, yoga mat & free weights, etc. The property never feels crowded, even though I believe it was at capacity. There are three small pools in addition to the warm plunge pool that is on each balcony. One note if you are thinking of coming here, this is not the type of place where you would come and just lay out on a lounge chair all day by the pool to get a tan, the chairs are hard and they don’t lay down all the way. Not to mention, you get quite a bit of clouds & shade here :) I did one spa treatment, and Clarissa took care of me with the Grounded Jaguar, wonderful deep tissue massage.

If I had one area where the resort doesn’t shine as much, it was the food… It wasn’t for lack of trying, the menus are very interesting sounding, and there’s clearly a lot of care being put into every element. But for me, the actual food itself, and some of the drinks just weren’t quite as delicious as I had hoped. I tried just about every combination of restaurants and times of day that I could. Stopped by the coffee shop and bakery frequently, did the complementary breakfast both with room service and then also in the restaurant one morning, dinner at El Rancho, as well as room, service, the swim up bar, La Jaranita for a cocktail, etc. My favorite thing at El Rancho by far was the fish tacos, recommend!

This was the perfect place to stay for my birthday.

I loved how well kept the property is. There were multiple swimming pools, a yoga area, a gym, a wet bar and another bar further past the restaurant you have breakfast.

Superb!

This hotel was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious and our room was very private with a private pool. The staff was very friendly and would even offer us rides when they saw us walking along the main road. We enjoyed the daily yoga as well as the trails on the property. Making our way from Liberia airport to the hotel was easy with the help of our driver Carlos (+506 7170 9978). He speaks great English, picked us up from Liberia and drove us, and even offered us recommendations on which attractions to see while we were in La Fortuna! I recommend to anyone looking for a private driver. Even when he couldn't personally drive us, he set up rides and took care of everything so we didn't have to. Carlos was a big reason our trip was stress free.

Our view of the volcano from our room could have been better. There was a lot of trees obstructing.

Charging $10 for a bottle of water. They should let you know beforehand. Music could have been much better - get a decent DJ chill playlist

Perfect for honeymoon - exceptional!

Absolute paradise - rooms and service were exceptional. Staff went above and beyond in every way :) beautiful setting and we never wanted to leave! Shower overlooking the volcano is amazing. We stayed here for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. We are also both vegan and the hotel has a full vegan menu and went out their way to provide an amazing breakfast each morning :) also had plant milks for coffee / oatmeal etc! Very impressed.

The meals / drinks were expensive but we didn’t mind this so much as the service was so good. Could have a heated towel rail in the bathroom but that’s being very picky!
