Great location for La Fortuna town, Lake Arenal, the volcano and hot springs. Nice to have the hot spring pool and swimming pool. Friendly staff. Great little bungalows.
The cooked breakfasts didn’t seem as good quality as in other places we had stayed. Nice fresh fruit and cereal though.

We had a wonderful stay at Miradas Arenal Hotel & Hotsprings. The location is beautiful and peaceful, with great views of Arenal Volcano, and it’s also close to Río Chollín, the naturally warm river heated by volcanic activity. The hot springs at the hotel were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Friendly staff, lovely surroundings, and a great base for discovering the Arenal area. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location with an awesome view of the volcano as well as many birds to spy (bring binoculars) including macaws and toucans. Also, look for the huge resident iguana, likely sunbathing in a tree.
Our room reeked heavily of deodorizer or insecticide when we arrived. We opened the doors and it dissipated after awhile, but we both got headaches and felt ill from it. First thing in the morning, the gardener was heavily spraying the paths all around with what seemed like insecticide, too. Aside from toxicity to humans, this seemed dangerous for the wildlife. In addition, unless you’re okay with a pool full of algae and gray/brown/green water, you’re probably not going to enjoy the “hot spring.” We went to Tabacon, too, where the hot springs are clear and clean.
