Beautifully maintained, stylish and comfortable hotel, with an enthusiastic host

The boutique hotel Sissi is in a wonderfully maintained villa, with a beautiful middle garden, stylish interiors and comfortable rooms. Elizabeth is ensuring it is all very well maintained, she also takes great care of her guests - particularly, at breakfast, where you will be delighted both by the variety and presentation - while giving valuable tips about Salzburg. You can really feel her enthusiasm and pride!

For the ones who are used to "super flexible" cancellation options: as Villa Sissi is a small boutique hotel, they do have to rely on predictability of guests, hence cancellation terms are with longer notice periods.

An oasis in beautiful Salzburg

An oasis in Salzburg - I must come back!! The hotel is definitely on the pricier side, as is most of Salzburg during the summer, but this is by far the best value. It is stunningly beautiful from the inside out and is the perfect escape from the touristy center without being too far to walk into (you can use the bus easily too but I loved the walk along the river into the old town!). The breakfast is fit for a queen and Elizabeth is there to wish you a good morning every day. As soon as I arrived, she walked me though a map of the area and where she recommends and ensured everything was perfect from the moment I got there to the moment I checked out. It’s also the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Truly 5 star hotel quality.

I felt very taken care of at this property.

Beautiful location. Close to city center by bus. I never made it to breakfast because the bed was beyond comfortable. Windows open. Salzburg rain. Wonderful breeze. I was in heaven! Elizabeth even checked on me because she hadn’t seen me since check in. Delightful!

Beautiful hotel and great breakfast

The room was beautiful and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and provided a very nice breakfast. The location is very convenient, very close to a bus stop.

Attentively run with warm, personal service from woman who may have been the owner.

What was probably once a private house. But professionally run and fitted with top range bathroom and deluxe soaps from Clarins, which normally I see in 5-star hotels, so indicates their attention to detail. And beautiful small garden, lovingly tended.

Location not in center Salzburg but didn’t expect it to be.

Breakfast was wonderful, courtyard was lovely, hotel was very nice.

There was no aircon and it got very warm during the day. It was quite a walk to the main downtown area. The hotel itself was difficult to find, just the sign to turn in.

Tranquil isle to relax

The villa and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. I loved my morning coffee in the garden, with sun streaming through trees. Magical moment to remember. The room was cute, with nice decorative touches here and there. Impeccably clean. Water and sweets o the pillow were a very nice touch Breakfast is served in bright, light and spacious rooms with decorative furniture, which does make you feel a bit like royalty :) Breakfast room has waiting staff and they will make sure you get the food and drinks you actually want. Check out the second, smaller breakfast room - it has huge window facing the garden. Parking is available in front of the property, I do advice to book in advance, cause I counted only 5 parking spots. City center is around 15 min away by walking. There's a supermarket around 50 m away

Self check in was a tat confusing and it took me around 5 min to figure out, but then I did arrive at a weird hour and was very tired. All the rest of interactions with staff and reception staff was awesome - they are incredibly helpful.

A lovely set hotel with an inviting garden. We especially loved that the breakfast was not buffet-style but rather served at the table with a smile. A very charming way to start the day surrounded by fresh and colour flowers. With the possibility of borrowing a bicycle it was very easy to explore Salzburg.

4 stops by trolley-bus from Old City or 15 min on feet. nice place to stay, good personnel and tasty breakfast. good design of the place.

this is common for most hotels in Austria: no slippers, toothbrush, vanity kit. from toiletries only shampoo and gel.

Definitely bijou. Friendly young man on duty who went out of his way to help us. Thanks to him our stay was good.

Beautiful garden, lovely flowers and decoration. Close to city centre with good transport links.

Taxis find it hard to find the entrance. It was very hot when we visited so a mini fridge would have been good to keep water cold also a kettle with tea and coffee in room would have been good as breakfast was from 8am so we had been up and packing for a while before that.

Pleasant and comfortable

The lady that met us first was not able to understand us she showed us a piece of paper with guest names and asked us to pick a name which she then ticked. She waved her arms in the direction of our room. We never met anyone other staff until the next morning at breakfast. The room was large and so was the bathroom, which had no shower! There was a lovely view of the garden. A chocolate on each pillow. The bed linen didn’t smell fresh and when the room was cleaned the used glasses were left no replacement of water just fresh towels. The breakfast was meats yogurts and bread, we asked for bacon and eggs and then duly arrived. The lady was pleasant but not there only at breakfast the main door was locked all the time. The location was very good a bus just across the road and a lovely walk or cycle into town along by the river. There are bicycles at the hotel free to guests.

The room was very large and a beautiful view of the garden it felt very private.

Very good

The room itself was great. A very big bed, great bathroom and a very clean room. Clean towels every day. Late check in was a big plus for us. There is a bus station nearby, but the city center can be walked.

The dining area should be renovated. The floor is heavily damaged and the wallpaper was starting to let go. The pillows could be a bit harder for our liking.
