'La Casina Toscana' is a house of about 100 square meters individual whose origins date back to the nineteenth century. Beautifully restored farmhouse style offers its visitors the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside watching the splendid panorama of the Val di Chiana on the one hand and on the other the city of Montepulciano perhaps tasting a glass of good wine vintage “Nobile” in relaxing in the garden. Situated in a prime location allows guests to reach the historical center of Montepulciano in a short walk: it is located next to the elevator that leads to the city's public gardens, the starting point of the walk in the old town where you can find countless shops and restaurants and enjoy the artistic and cultural city of Montepulciano. A short distance away are the bus station, the starting point of several bus direct to the main towns in the area, gym, tennis courts, a football field, supermarket, tourist spot with bike rental. All this makes 'La Casina Toscana' unique in that it allows its customers to be able to park the car in the yard outside or under the gazebo covered exclusively offered and move on foot or by public transport allowing them to stay in complete relaxation. Well connected, it’s ideal for trips to countries such as Montalcino, Pienza, Cortona, Chianciano, Asciano, Siena, Arezzo, Perugia are all within less than an hour's drive. The highway and the railway station of Chiusi, Montepulciano connecting to cities such as Rome and Florence are just 20 minutes away by car. Beautiful location, staring directly at the walled city drinking wine. Could not ask for better view. Davide was VERY responsive, patient, and helpful before and during our stay. The house was what you’d want for a Tuscan stay, and perfect for 4 adults. We were close to a modern grocery store and close to the main gate of Montepulciano. Thank you Davide!!!!

We can't say enough good things about our rental with Davide. We was most attentive, helpful and always quick to respond and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The welcome bottle of wine was such a lovely surprise. The house was spotless, comfortable with all the ammenities we could ask for. If we only have one suggestion, would be to perhaps add mattress toppers for a little added comfort to the beds. We hope to return to Davide's lovely rental. A true gem!

We had a wonderful time in Davide’s farmhouse. It was well equipped with everything we needed. It’s a short walk into town to explore all Montepulciano has to offer. The farmhouse itself is so thoughtfully planned down to the smallest details. The inside and outside spaces are made for relaxing, unwinding and taking in all the views. We will definitely stay here when we return in the future!

Over the years we have vacationed in Italy 6 times and we always stayed in 2 to 3 bedroom homes. This lovely property is now at the top of the list. Davide is an outstanding host and it is an easy walk to the center of Montepulciano.

Great house in great lacation. The house is a bit farther from the town than I had envisioned but as close as a property of this size could be. The kitchen is small/ I don't see how it could possibly accommodate meal preparation for more than 2 people. in a all a WONDERFUL property

Our home in Tuscany
My husband and I spent 4 weeks at La Casina Toscana, using it as our home base to explore Montepulciano (on foot) and several medieval towns in the area (Pienza, San Querico, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni) by car. We took scenic bus rides to Siena and Florence, leaving from the bus depot that’s a 5 minute walk from the house. The house was very clean and quite comfortable, and it could easily sleep 5 people. Walking up the steep driveway gave us a daily workout that allowed us to eat all the pasta and pizza our hearts desired. We ate like locals, having pizzas at Linda’s, wine and (wonderful) flatbread at Menchetti’s followed by some spectacular gelato across the street. We enjoyed excellent meals in the old town at Cognano’s, Polizianos, la Bacca, and La Vineria. We made meals in the small but totally functional kitchen from food we purchased at the local supermarket (Conrad, 10 minutes) and at the weekly market (Thursdays at the Nenni piazza —by the bus depot). We rented a car in Chiusi (Hertz) up the street from the train station, where if you are not renting a car, you can catch a bus to the Montepulciano bus depot for a mere 3.50 versus a 50 euro cab ride. All and all it was a wonderful vacation that started every morning with an amazing Tuscan view from our bedroom window accompanied by the sound of a crowing rooster and nearby church bells.

Cozy home base for exploring Tuscany!
I just finished a 5-night stay at Casina Toscana with my husband, my 8-year-old daughter, and my parents. We arrived at the house to find a welcome bottle of wine on the table, and Davide stopped by with lots of helpful suggestions for dining and touring in the area. It was easy to access both the old center of Montepulciano and to drive out to day trips in other parts of Tuscany. The house was also conveniently located to a grocery store and equipped with a kitchen so we could do some meals at home. From the yard, we had beautiful views of both Montepulciano and the whole valley. The house was everything we hoped for our stay in Tuscany, and we hope to return soon!

Home Away From Home
We love La Casina Toscana like a second home. The fall visit was our second time there -- and we treasure the quaint but spacious restored farmhouse like a second home and Davide, the owner like a member of the family. We've already booked the entire month of October 2019. That's how much we love it. And here's why. Staying just outside the ancient gates of Montepulciano allows us to get a taste of agrotourism while enjoying the benefits of being within easy walking distance of everything we want and need. In fact, the walkability of the experience made it so special; daily walks to the market in town and back, daily hikes through the adjoining olive groves, exercise romps down the scenic byways around La Casina -- it's all an experience to be savored and treasured. We can't wait to get back!

Amazing home in Montepulciano
Davide and his family have paid attention to every detail in this newly renovated home. The surrounding yard and outdoor living space is beautifully attended to. The scenery of Tuscany and the town of Montepulciano is visible from every room. The home is walking distance to the old town.
Davide was attentive to our needs, gave us great restaurant and tour suggestions along with a history tour of the home.
Three bedrooms in the home are all beautiful, the kitchen and living area are full of family character. I cannot say enough about this property.

Pros: Great location. Very clean. Very well decorated. Excellent maintenance. Lovely outside areas (3). Wonderful and attentive host. Wifi very good.
Cons: Bring your own spices and condiments. Kitchen small.
My wife and I stayed here for 12 nights in October. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is very close to the walled city of Montepulciano, although the walk is steep. Supermarket only several hundred yards away. We wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this property.

Tuscan Charm
This is a lovely little property, I say little but it's 3 full bedrooms with A/C in each room. It's private even though the neighbors are close by. And the neighbors were quite friendly as well. The place was very clean and more than adequately furnished. It's close to town and a grocery store. The scenery surrounding the villa is spectacular, as is all of Italy, really. It's reasonably quiet and within range of the town's church bells which I found charming. Davide was a wonderful and helpful host with excellent communication. I very well may return to visit and I suggest you do too if you want a good jump off point to visit Tuscany!

Convenient country retreat
My wife and I recently stayed at La Casina Toscana for three weeks from late May to the middle of June. We were there by ourselves for two weeks and had another couple staying with us for a week. The house has been lovenly remodeled and is a charming combination of brick, stone, and wood finishes. Upstairs there are two good size bedrooms with a smallish bathroom in between. Downstairs there is another bathroom, a living/dining room, a small kitchen, and a small third bedroom. Everything we needed for an extended stay was provided. There were also two outside sitting areas where we spent quite a bit of time relaxing, reading and enjoying the views.
La Casina Toscana is set in a rural area but is very convenient to Montepulciano's centro storico (historic district). A local bus runs from the nearby bus station up to and through the city. The bus station is within walking distance and a modern Conad grocery store, a wonderful local restaurant, and two pastry shops are also close by. We were driving a leased car and were please that free parking was included on site. It was quick and easy to pick up the start of several roads leading in various directions from Montepulciano out to other hill towns, and it was a great pleasure to drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside to visit them.
Davide was a very attentive host. Our GPS could not find his house so he came and got us and led us to it. He explained all the workings of the house and recommended several restaurants that we might like. He was very responsive when we needed help with a couple of requests.
The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is that the property is a little small for four people. The other couple staying with us had to go downstairs to have their own bathroom and the kitchen is functional but small. The stairs are steep so it definitely is not a good situation for someone with mobility issues. The property also has the pluses and minuses of being in a rural area. It is away from the city noises but it is exposed to country noises. On balance we were happy to be able to enjoy the country setting while still being able to look up at beautiful Montepulciano above us.

Picture the perfect house and the perfect host for a 4 person Tuscan stay and you will realize it with La Casina Toscana and Davide! It is in a great location for exploring the city of Montepulciano and the Tuscan area, in general. Walking distance to grocery stores, laundry mats, churches and the beautiful city center of Montepulciano. It is cozy and warm. The views are breathtaking. Davide has to be the most accomodating host that I have dealt with! It can easily accomodate a fifth person, but I would not go beyond that. Great kitchen and dining/family area. Working wood-burning fireplace! All we could ask for and more!

Perfect Place for a Perfect Week in Tuscany
We looked for something in the heart of Tuscany for a spring vacation and found the perfect place in La Casina Toscana. If you have never heard of Montepulciano, it’s a beautiful medieval city on top of a hill with nice shops, restaurants and photo opportunities at every corner. La Casina is outside the city walls in the countryside - but it’s only a short, 5 min walk to the city gate (remember, Italian towns don’t sprawl like US cities) and if you prefer there is even an elevator for added convenience. Davide, the owner, met us on the day of arrival and showed us around. The house is really nice, well kept and very clean. Three bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen and a living room over two stories. If the weather permits you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view of the city with a glass of Montepulciano vine. Davide was very helpful. He speaks excellent English and responded quickly to emails and text messages when we had a question. Given its central location, Montepulciano was a perfect base for day trips to Florence, Siena and the beautiful Val d’Orcia.

Another wonderful experience at La Casina Toscana
We had such a wonderful time at La Casina Toscana two yeara ago, that we vowed to return -- and return we did. It was just as good -- if not better -- than we had remembered. This lovingly restored 200-year-old farmhouse in the heart of vineyards and olive groves is an immersive dive into the Tuscan lifestyle. We're already planning our next return. The place is clean as a whistle, and Davide (and parents) are a delight to know -- much less have as landlords. Caveat: Be forewarned: the steep terrain, the hill town's up and down topography -- and the house itself is not suited for handicapped or very overweight individuals. But other than that, it's a jewel.

My husband and I rented La Casina Toscana for four nights while on our honeymoon. Davide was so welcoming and helped us get a feel for the area. The house is beautifully decorated and has rustic Tuscan charm. We found it extremely comfortable and didn't want to leave! The views from the house are dreamy. From one side of the house you have a view of the Tuscan countryside and from the other you look up to the walled city of Montepulciano. It's a short walk to an elevator that brings you into Montepulciano. We not only fell in love with Montepulciano but the house as well and have already discussed returning and staying at La Casina Toscana. Would very highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous. Nothing better.
My 3rd year staying here and it just keeps getting better. The house is always immaculate. Davide, the owner always is there to cheerfully welcome you with a bottle of wine. Perfect location if you do not want to drive. Short walk to the bus station and a little further to the grocery (house has a very well equipped kitchen) and into the town. This house is perfect for your stay in Montepulciano and Tuscany.
