In the winter you will have amazing sledding and snow play opportunities, and in the summer, hiking trails are right outside your door. Along with being recently remodeled, this cabin has plenty of amenities to make it feel like home. Forest Chalet offers everything you need for a wonderful vacation in the heart of Big Bear Lake. The cozy living room has a flat screen TV and a wood burning fireplace. The living room TV is set up to stream Netflix, and has a Blu-Ray Player and WiFi. The wonderful recently updated kitchen has granite counters and stainless appliances (NEW Dishwasher!) for the cook`s delight. You will enjoy the convenience of a downstairs bedroom with queen bed and flat screen TV. This TV is also set up with Netflix and has a Blu-Ray player. There is a full bath and washer and dryer on this level. The two upstairs bedrooms are very spacious. Guest Room one has a comfy queen bed, plus a twin bed and flat screen TV with Blu-Ray. The large "kid`s room" sleeps up to 6 with a double bed, 2 twin beds, and trundle beds underneath each twin. This was a great cabin. I traveled with my son, his wife and two young children three years old and under. The beds were comfortable, the cabin was very clean, we cooked most meals in, and we built a fire and made s'mores. It was really a delightful stay.
The cabin is near the town, shops, restaurants, and grocery. It was convenient to everything we wanted to do.

Mom/Daughter Trip
We had a great time at the Forest Chalet. We were a group of 4 mother/daughter pairs - a total of 8 people - perfect for the size of the cabin. The property was clean, exactly as advertised, in a quiet neighborhood, and close to Snow Summit. It even snowed one night while we were there. It was magical! We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

This property was perfect for our 5 member family. It was cozy but had everything we needed. It was close enough to the stores and restaurants but because the cabin is on a dead-end street, the location was quiet. We were able to toboggan down the side of the road and build forts and snowmen. In the evenings, we enjoyed the clean and warm hot tub. We would love to return to this property in the future.

We had a wonderful Family Christmas in this cozy cabin! The kitchen was well stocked with anything you needed to prepare a meal. The cabin location made you feel like you were off the beaten path with other charming cabins in the midst but actually we were two streets away from easy access to grocery shopping, the lake and the Village of Big Bear.

Perfect cabin retreat!
This place was perfect! Felt secluded but close enough to get anywhere. The cabin was lovely and beautifully decorated. All the little things like the bear print knob pulls shows the attention to detail in making this a perfect cabin retreat in the woods! We will be back!

Honoring a Loved One
We gathered as a family to honor the loss of our husband/father/grandfather/father-in-law. It was a wonderful experience. The property was spotless and the owners were accommodating. Everything was very modern and there was something for everyone. The only improvement I would suggest is that there were six towels, but the property can house 11 occupants. Luckily, we brought a few of our own towels just in case. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

Wonderful place to stay
Had an amazing time at Forest Cabin. It is homey and welcoming without being too stuffy and dark. It was perfectly clean. So many amentities it made our stay even better. The owners make the place feel like you are coming home. The location is close to the town but feels isolated when you are there. Also, the checkout process was so simple and easy. I have stayed in cabins with the same pricing plus $150 cleaning fee, at $700 a night, with a HUGE list of chores before we left. I dread the last day because it is a scurry of chaos and list of 10 chores, and leave by 11. Often there is no relaxation that last morning. HOWEVER, This cabin made us feel like we were not rushed out and stressed before having to drive home. Instead it felt like we were actually guests. We will be staying here when we return!!! We finally found the cabin in Big Bear for us. It only took 8 years, but this place is a gem so it was worth the wait.

Beautiful place, loved our stay here!
This place was absolutely wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay. All kinds of little extras and great features. We especially loved the hot tub, which was all warmed up and ready for us when we got there, and the very cozy lodge vibe throughout the house. A very small downside was that the pillows were a bit flat-if you like ones with more body I would recommend bringing your own. Also, a couple extra towels could be useful. Otherwise this place really had it all, down to hotel-style shampoos and conditioners. We would definitely visit again!
