About this house rental
Located in South Haven, this attractive house for $230 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Lake Michigan has been the backdrop of special memories for our family for over 25 years. It's a feeling really and once you experience it you will understand the allure. South Haven has so much to offer and we would like to share that experience. Rent our little cottage and start making memories. The Blue Pearl is a short 12 minute walk to the south beach and downtown with great shopping and restaurants. Experience the fresh farmers market on Saturday mornings, shop the unique boutiques and beach stores. Eat great food at a variety of locations. Watch movies at the charming town theater. The vintage cozy cottage will sleep 5 people. It has 2 bedrooms; one with a queen and the other has one bunk bed and one twin bed. IMPORTANT NOTE...No one over 150 lbs on the upper bunk. We have a full kitchen with everything you need except a dishwasher. Small appliances are set up in the back porch. We have a drip coffee maker, filters/coffee are provided. Enjoy watching movies and spending family time in the bright living room and dining/sitting area. There are games in the right side of the cabinet in the dining room. Tub and shower in the updated Jack and Jill bathroom. Washer and dryer in basement. Parking is on the side street or in front of the house. We have air conditioning, and WIFI at the house. Also tons of dvds and cd's. There is a smart TV for your online streaming services. South Haven has several public beaches, scenic bike paths, farmers market, wineries, shopping, tot lot playground, festivals and events, sandy shores for walking, beautiful sunsets and the lake! Check in is at 3:00 p.m. and check out is at 10:00 a.m. We are on a schedule with a cleaning service so these times cannot be altered. Thank you for understanding. Whatever your passion and whatever the season, making memories is the best reason to visit South Haven. We also have several properties on Beaver Island off of the tip of Michigan. We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet blue cottage! The owners were very kind and responsive. We weren’t quite as close to the beach as I had hoped and the road was being repaved while we were there which made it a bit hard to park, but our kids enjoyed watching the trucks. Overall it was a great experience!

Had such a great visit to South Haven. It was my first time visiting the mainland of Michigan and I thoroughly enjoyed my time exploring the area, swimming in the lake and staying at this home. The house was stocked with everything we needed for our week. The host was quick to respond to any questions I had. Would highly recommend this home. :)

Loved the mid century vibes of this cute little house. Good location close to downtown.
I didn’t realize there were beach items in the basement though - Until we were doing laundry at checkout. So make sure you go down to the basement to get beach stuff! Had everything we needed.

We are about an hour away and it was so nice to have some down time after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. We grabbed dinner in town and then went to the movies. A perfect little getaway!

My stay ended up getting cut short because of the big snowstorm headed our way. But the house was perfect for what I needed. Walking distance to downtown SH. The host was very responsive and helpful!

The person who is to cleans the property in between renters dropped the ball from what I was told by the host. The bed linens were dirty and left they way the previous renter left it. Used clothing left on the bunk bed. Trash not collected throughout home. Kitchen dishes appeared to have been cleaned by the previous renter but left sprawled out on counter to dry. Could have been extremely dangerous had we had little ones with all the larger butcher knives out. We had to tear off dirty bedding and make our own beds to sleep. The host did credit us a cleaning fee. However, being in customer service myself, I felt we should have been compensated more. The cleaning fee had ready been paid from the pervious renters and yet I had to still pay full price for a place that I had fully anticipated to be cleaned, sanitized with no work involved. The over all decor of the home was cute and looked as pictured.

The house was super cute and comfortable and very clean. Check in/out was flawless. Beds were comfortable. Close to town, neighborhood quiet. They even provided coffee. Only issue was the stairs in and out for my older mom, who has some mobility issues, were a bit tough but manageable for a one night stay (something to consider if staying longer).

We had a lovely overnight stay. Everything was just as it was pictured. My only complaint would be to look into the kitchen hood fan over the stove. When then light on the hood is on or when you turn the hood fan on, a fish smell starts permeating the kitchen. Perhaps the filter needs changed.

My 2 daughters, me and my mother came up for a Girls Weekend to celebrate her 75th Birthday! We loved the Blue Pearl. Many laughs were had during our stay! The house definitely met all of our needs and was a perfect setting for the weekend festivities!!

Loved this house. So cute and beautifully decorated. It was by far the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. I also appreciated that the dishes, blankets, kitchen utensils, etc were very nice. Neighborhood was quiet but not walkable to beach. Easy walk to downtown though.

We came for the beach but the weather was crummy, so we stayed at the house most of the time. It was prefect for us to spread out, eat in and as the weather broke make a quick trip to the beach. We will stay again when we come to town!

We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed our stay at the house. Very clean and nicely equipped kitchen and bathroom. Bed frame in main bedroom is a bit creaky but the mattress was very comfortable. Kids loved the bunks! Thank you for having us!

We had a wedding at Black River Barn and this was a perfect one night stay for a group of us. The house was clean and easy to get to as well as close to the venue. There’s a liquor store directly across the street too which was very convenient. The hosts are great communicators. Thanks again guys!

Pros: easy drive to downtown (or really anywhere in SoHa), eclectic decor, nice living spaces, kitchen well stocked, friendly neighbors, hosts are friendly and quick communicators
Cons: mattresses & pillows very flat and “used” ; backyard space is extremely small and limited (more weeds than anything, unlike picture)
