Nestled in Mission Beach, this attractive condo for $460 per night is a great option for your next break. ** Family owned and operated since 2001 ** It would be hard to find a better property on the boardwalk in San Diego's Mission Beach. Although the view is worth the price alone, we have done our best to make sure you will enjoy your stay and be comfortable indoors as well as out. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit is furnished with relaxation and simplicity in mind. Quality and comfort are yours in every room. The large, private deck has patio furniture, a gas grill, and of course, the unforgettable view! The master bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin top and a full-size bottom. Parking is available on site in a private, one-car garage. It's all here, come and enjoy it! Mission Beach is one of San Diego’s most popular beach destinations. It is here where you can enjoy what everyone comes to the beach to enjoy. Great small place, right on the boardwalk. Very close to some shops and places to eat.

My daughter an I stayed for 3 nights. Our ages are 66 and 33. Loved every minute here Pete was amazing to work with and the view is just as beautiful. The bunk bed mattress was not as comfortable and could maybe use a cushion but it's a great place to stay with many places to eat or drink very close by. We would definitely do it again!

This is a great property right on the beach. It had all the things we needed in the kitchen, clean towels and sheets, and a great deck for people watching. The owner was awesome with communication. It was nice having the garage as well.

5/5. Loved.Not because it's the most luxurious place ever. It's not & I was glad because my mom & I could stay oceanfront in an amazing location w/a big private deck for a short visit & reasonable price. That's what I was looking for & what I got. It was clean on arrival and the host is wonderful.
Garage was great-snug, but backed in a Mazda cx9, no prob.
The boardwalk quieted down at night & the waves were the only sound if you were on the deck or in the living room with screen door only. Ahhh.
the bedrooms were comfortable and adequate for 2-3 people. There is a ceiling fan in the room w/ the bigger bed but not the one with the bunks. It did get a little warm (sept-we expected this) but the window open helped. I slept on the deck for part of one night. We didn't really use the kitchen- just the fridge/freezer and coffeepot and those were great. The washer/dryer were quite good and we did use that. The location is fantastic -there are restaurants & shops where you can get items you need around the corner.
The deck is where we spent most of the time when we were at the house. It's fantastic- plastic recliners were cracked but functional. We didn't grill.
To know: not a hotel, no soap, shampoo, laundry soap, hairdryer, etc. there was some dishwasher soap (not sure if left by prior renters or supplied) and paper towels, and that sort of thing. Streetlight to the left and light from house on the right were bright at night but only noticed from outside. Def will stay again!

This was our second time at this property. The house itself is simple, but clean and functional. For us, the great feature of the home is the huge private deck right on the boardwalk/beach. It is the perfect spot for morning coffee, grilling dinner, watching the sunset and even seeing dolphins. Our kids loved the sand toys and being able to get to the beach so quickly to play. Owner is very responsive. Boardwalk is busy during the day, but settles down and very quiet at night. Would definitely recommend this property.

You can not beat the views and experience! The condo is literally a diamond jewel with the BEST deck on the boardwalk. Most decks are “shared” with others above you with can become awkward…not this place! You have a huge private deck to enjoy the best weather and views…period!

This house was perfect for our summer beach trip this year. You definitely can not beat the location! We had a great big patio where we ate breakfast every morning and saw some occasional pods of dolphins swim by, and after a fun filled morning at the beach, we walked 50 steps back to the house for lunch. We have two little ones and it was nice to be able to head back to the house for bathroom breaks and afternoon naps. There was no AC in the house, but when we were at the house, we kept the windows and door open, it cooled the house down and it wasn’t a problem. It actually got a little chilly at night. They do have tons of fans if it gets too hot. We could have used a few more dishes, but we didn’t mind washing dishes after every meal. We will definitely rent here again.

The back patio is right on the boardwalk, perfect for people watching and enjoying the sunset. The location right on the beach with outdoor faucet for washing off sand was perfect for the kids. The garage had beach toys, chair, umbrella and boogie board.

This property is in an ideal location! The large deck offers a comfortable place to watch the world go by, and the beach is only steps away. The boardwalk offers opportunities for walking for fitness, as well as to nearby restaurants and entertainment. We'll be back!

We had a blast on our beach vacation. Great location for long walks and funky places to eat. We encountered lousy weather which drew attention to the one drawback - the windows have been sunbaked and wind whipped and were difficult to see out - million dollar view but needs new glass.

Incredible private patio with awesome views of the crashing waves and great for people watching and interactions on the boardwalk. The patio is well equipped with a nice barbecue grill and a good variety of seating. It is also elevated from the boardwalk and faces due west, giving a wonderful view of beautiful sunsets over the ocean. We saw the green flash from our balcony at least twice!
In addition to being just a few steps away from the boardwalk and the ocean, this property is very close to grocery stores and restaurants, and even an amusement park. Because of the nearby conveniences and the miles-long boardwalk adjacent to the property, it feels more like living in a small town where you can walk to lots of stuff that is interesting and convenient.
And unlike a recent trip to the Florida Keys, there are no flying insects to worry about. Thank you, Mission Beach!
We are also grateful for our property manager, Peter, who was extremely responsive, even though he was out of town. He did his best to help with every situation.
The floors have been recently updated with tile throughout, and it looks and feels wonderful. The kitchen is good from a usability standpoint, but the appliances are aging, and they show it.
In addition to the exceptional view from the patio and sliding glass door, there is a nice view out the breakfast room window that is great for two people to enjoy their breakfast while watching the surf.
After about 11:30 AM each day, the sun crosses over the top of the building, and on a clear day, it is so powerful that you probably won't need a jacket sitting on the patio. Same for the boardwalk. and we are talking about the end of January! Yay!
We were welcomed on our first day with sparkling wine, and an assortment of cooking basics like cooking oil and pepper. It is possible that these were left by the previous tenants, and it is also possible that our host was trying to take care of us with a few essentials. Regardless, don’t count on having hand soap, facial tissues, clothes detergent, dryer sheets, shower gel, soap, or shampoo. This rental is really about the place, the view, and the location. Not a lot of amenities are provided, so plan a quick trip to the grocery store down the street on your first day. That would be Ralphs, which is about a mile away and has underground parking, so keep a lookout for access from either side street.

We started our search for a place to unplug and unwind. Some of big asks was for location, on the beach, on the ground level, close to restaurants and shopping. Oh - and at an affordable price. I wasn't sure that was going to happen when I found this gem. A garage to park my husband's latest "baby" was certainly an added plus. The host is SUPER responsive, and we booked it immediately after finding it on our preferred rental site (VRBO.)
The view is spectacular - even better than pictures could do it justice. A private patio is a big plus in the Mission Beach area as we're quiet people who just enjoy relaxing and watching the world go by. There's plenty of seating on the patio, and we enjoyed our coffee in the mornings watching the sunrise.
Each morning, we watched the dolphins as they made their way down the coast line (did I mention we love dolphins?) There are restaurants and shops within walking distance, so we just parked our car in the garage and enjoyed exploring on foot. There's a bike rental place extremely close to the unit, so that's always an option also. Everywhere we went, the staff was so friendly and accommodating.
Everything was clean when we arrived shortly after the appointed time, and I was thrilled when I didn't have to open up the unit in order to get our car in the garage since there is a keypad. Saved lots of time in getting unpacked and on the beach for sure.
Everything is exactly as it states in the listing - no hidden "surprises" upon our arrival. For us, it was exactly what we were looking for, at exactly the right price. We would definitely rent the property again as it fit every one of our requirements.

I found the amenities in the property a bit lacking: no hand soap in the bathroom, no baking sheet pans for the oven, only 4 sets of dishes/silverware so we had to run the washer every day for 2 people. The process was pretty easy. I was surprised by the extra deposit or insurance. The price was still a good value. We kept the place clean and got back the initial deposit back without issue. It makes you a little nervous if there will be deposit issues.

It is the perfect place to relax and Rejuvenate. Our Walks on the beach, reading on the patio and riding our bikes on the boardwalk were just what we needed. I am hoping to get back there next summer! Thank you Peter for sharing your home with us!
