It’s in an excellent location, just a short distance from both the train station and York city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good quality and plentiful.
The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were too hard, unfortunately I didn’t get a good nights sleep.

I wish there more choices for vegetarian that have warm breakfast
Like myself I cannot eat an egg either anymore due to health reasons
My room was on the first floor, on the same floor as the restaurant, so unfortunately there was quite a lot of noise during the night from people walking past. I could also hear the doors banging whenever someone opened and closed them, which made it difficult to have a peaceful night’s sleep.
Apart from the noise, the room itself was very nice and comfortable. I just wish I had been given a room on one of the higher floors, where it may have been quieter and I could have enjoyed a better view of the river as well. I think that would have made my stay much more enjoyable.
