There were no effective fans in the room, there was a heatwave on and the two mini fans provided made no impact at all. Had we not anticipated this and brought our own large fan with us, it would have been an unbearable stay in what in every other way is a lovely hotel.

Although the room was large with some nice period furniture it lacked atmosphere
The bathroom had very limited toiletries
