A very good sized family room and the added bonus of view over the city walls and York Minster and a short distance to the centre. Very friendly and helpful staff and our dog was welcome in most areas of the hotel, which made the whole trip much easier and more relaxing.

The location was excellent, being less than a 5-minute walk from Monk Bar and the city walls.
The reception area is spacious, and the staff are very helpful.
The bar was comfortable and had a good atmosphere with various cosy corners to sit in.
I know this is the cheaper end of the Hilton range, but it is in no way Hiltonesque. The room was a good size but sparsely decorated and cold. The installed heaters and towel rail were not working, and a freestanding electric fire had been provided. This did little to heat the room, and we had to ask for another one.
The car park is very small, and the management is chaotic. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We were lucky to find a space but were shocked to be charged £50 for the two nights. If you dare to move your car, you might not find a space when you get back. There are some EV charger spaces, but they seem to let anybody park there. I was told that if I wanted to charge my car, I might lose my space, so I should just stay in the charger space! We were delayed for 20 minutes trying to get out, as a coach was parked in the entrance.
