The location was perfect for us. Nice exterior room in the car park. Good quality breakfast. Some nice, friendly staff. Enjoyment on 2nd evening was salvaged by female member of the team, along with the kitchen staff - which compensated for misinformation the day before from the manager.
Pub was often cold, as was our room. Ate breakfast on the 1st morning with my coat on, thankfully heating was on on the 2nd morning. 'Hand wash' was in the shower.
Misinformation from manager regarding food availability on Sundays. Was ignored by the manager and another member of staff at the bar for quite some time when we just wanted to be shown to our evening table reservation. Pub was mostly very quiet, lacked atmosphere. Poor breakfast service by manager on day 2. No milk jug provided for my tea, had to get up each time when needed to get my milk from the 'milk for cereal' dispenser. Had to look in cupboards myself for sauce as none was offered. The next table received 2 cups of coffee that were just milk - no coffee in them! No staff around for some time to raise the issue. Have stayed here before and it was much better then. Seems to have gone downhill.
