Beautiful hotel - always feels like a treat when we come and stay. They seem to be redecorating the rooms and pretty certain we were in a recently decorated room, which was very stylish.
Some facilities did not work in our room (niggles but still would have expected everything to work), and the Reception team didn't ask how was our stay when we checked out, which I would expect for a Marriott.

A beautiful hotel set in a prime location. We stayed here over a month ago and paid a 50 pound damage deposit. Only on checking our bank account 2 weeks later did we notice that the deposit was never returned.
We've contacted Marriott Bristol 3 times regarding our money and was assured it would be returned. A month later and the deposit still hasn't been returned. We will now make a complaint to Marriott Head Office. It's the principle and the fact if we hadn't checked our account it would have gone unnoticed. I would urge everybody to double check after they leave to ensure the damage deposit has being returned. Marriott do better.
