Great stay in quiet area with helpful staff

Quiet stay and the staff was very helpful. Filtered water was a huge plus for us!

A bit far from everything, but the owner is willing to drive you to town.

A comfortable and friendly stay!

The rooms are pretty, comfortable and clean. Kitchen for guests to use. Alfredo is so kind, he picked me up a bit later from town so I could get fitted for a wetsuit and dropped me off for my tour in the morning.

The location is a bit far from town. So this really depends on how you travel. If you like to go back to your hostel in between several activities in the day this might not be the best choice but if you’re planning several day tour activities you won’t feel the distance as much.

The distance from town is not really a concern. Rides in and out of town are easy to find for only $2. The garden is super nice and the rooms are huge.

great place to stay, very comfortable, definitely recommend it

the rooms were clean, had great air conditioning, hot water. the host was very kind, and we were able to use his punching bag. the host picked us up and dropped us off at the airport.

the location is not ideal, as it is a 30 minute walk into town, however the taxi ride is cheap and the host is very kind and can help arrange transportation.

The owner is a true gem. So friendly and forcoming. He will drive you around to the port, do pick up or bring you to the airport or ferry. They make nice breakfast at the time of your choosing and clean up the room everyday. Warm water and hangmats present. Its a 30 minute walk from the port but the owner brings you for free or the taxi is 3 dollars. 100% recommended. Dont miss out:)

Lovely place

The family are lovely and very helpful. They picked me up from the ferry and dropped me off as well, no charge. The room is very clean and welcoming.

Location was quite far out of town, but it was a nice walk in and return taxi was only $2 so not an issue. It was also nice staying away from the coast and seeing some different scenery.

Great!

The family that own it are so lovely! They don’t speak English, but their son translated well. They will drive you to town and they are always trying to help in any way that they possibly can. Such lovely folk!

I was not a fan of the cold showers but I got used to them quickly and it was not bad at all!

The perfect stay!

The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much, they helped me plan every aspect of my trip and I was encouraged to help myself to the most delicious fruit! It felt like a home away from home, Alfredo knows the island so well and I was super grateful for his insights, his tour was fantastic! It is a little out of town but its only a short walk, which most importantly is very safe and well lit! Even as a solo female traveller I felt perfectly safe walking at night. You really don't feel like you're far from anything but have the luxury of being truly in nature. Honestly I can't recommend Cucuve highly enough and I would absolutely stay here again.

Very nice and helpful host in San Cristobal,who picked me up at the airport and helped me moving out from the hostel! Very clean and confortable room with great kitchen. A fridge available also at the first floor. Very good stay. Good advise to decide what to do too. Thanks again! Christelle.I was there on 6th july a'd i went back after a nice 3 days trip in Isla Isabella,Santa Cruz from where i took a tour to Isla Bartolome!

I loved the garden. That it's quite, clean and the host are so warm and make you feel very at home. They picked me up at the harbor and drove me to the airport. I picked it because it was a little far away from the centrum so I could walk every morning to the city in 20-30 min.

Amazingly friendly owner and a good option if you prefer a peaceful location outside of town.

Host Alfredo is exceptionally welcoming and helpful- he collected us from the ferry terminal and dropped us back the next day which was very kind, and shared some of the fruit from his gardens with us. Quiet and peaceful location. When working, WIFI was excellent! Accommodation is pricey in San Cristobal so Cucuve represents fair value for money.

Room was quite basic (we had a twin room rather than the double we had booked- possibly because of our changing dates for our stay), and the bathroom had a slight odour from the drain. It is a long walk to town- about 25-30 minutes- we like walking so didn’t mind, and you could get a taxi there jn 5 mins if you prefer!

Location. In the middle of nowhere. Okay plus there was a glitch with Booking.com and it booked 2 bookings for me. I am traveling alone.

A lovely stay with lovely hosts but a little far out

The owners were so lovely and helpful! Plus you really have everything you need - a shared kitchen, AC, fridge in the room and drinkable water! i loved the peace of the place (although the cockerels can be loud in the morning) and that you could grab fresh bananas and mangos from the property.

It is quite far away from town - a 30+ minute walk or a $2 taxi ride but it’s actually fine and I got a couple of lifts into town from the lovely owner as well.

Wonderful house outside of the centre (30min walks or taxi for 2-3$). Also Alfredo, the owner, offers to take you to town as a taxi. Very clean rooms, kitchen to prepare your meals. And the best, you can pick up all fruits the garden offers for free like Mango, Maracuya, Guaraná,… Alfredo is really nice and helps you with everything you need.

It would be nice to have a trencher in the kitchen and bins. They are outside. Also in the room is missing a bin. In the outdoor area it would be lovley to have some seats to enjoy the meals or just the lovely garden outside.

A beautiful location, amazing to be able to pick fruit from the trees, drinkable water (including cooler) available from the water dispenser. We did the highland tour for €50 and rides from town cost around €3. Lilita and Alfredo were really helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome.

It was very difficult to get a steady stream of hot water.

Such a lovely, helpful family . Alfredo offered me a personal tour of the island for below average price of any tour agencies. , 50 dollars for the day . Him and his wife are such lovely people. Clean room , nice shower , fridge stocked with fruit and refreshments , they prepared lovely breakfast for me each morning And also did my laundry for just 1.50 per kilo . I also got lots of free lifts , and free pick up and drop off to the airport.I cannot recommend this place enough 😊

Fantastic, with friendly people and a just out of town location.

It started by the pick up service included in the price. The owner was very helpful with suggestions. The grounds were fantastic abounding in fruit trees. Any fruit was available to be eaten by the guest. the rooms were clean , roomy and comfortable. The showers were hot. There was a communal kitchen and dining area. Everything is topped off with a ride to the harbor or airport.

A perfect stay

I'm traveling for almost a year now, this was my best stay so far. The value for money is, incredible feels more like a hotel than a hostel, the place is really new and so clean, room was really big and comfortable and they cleaned it every day (even that I said theres no need). The place itself is so beautiful and peacful, in the middle of a huge garden, very quiet. I had the best night sleeps of my intire trip. Alfredo and his family were very nice, picked me up from the airport and took me to the ferry when I left. Highly recommended, you can't go wrong with this place.

The only thing that may concern others is that its not in the city center, for me personaly It was an advantage being away from the noise and fully connected to nature. Anyway the walk to the center is 20-25 min and its beautiful and very safe. Many taxis go by in this road all the time and they are very easy to catch, if its a shared ride the cost is 0.5$, if its a private ride its 1.5$ so -really easy and nothing to worry about.

A lovely place to stay!

The family is really lovely and helpful! I had issue with my day tour and they helped me solved it by contacting my agency and found me a new tour successfully. The breakfast is served to the room, really considerate service!

The location is far from the city, you must take a taxi(2-3USD) to get there or take a 30 minute walk. The WIFI was "Galapagos wifi" as said by the dad of the family.. Sometimes there, but sometimes not! Outside my room, the neighbor has a lot of chicken, and those chicken were NOISY, starting four in the morning.... But I did not close my window though.

Superb!!!

The place was very nice and quiet and it made me feel very comfortable and relaxing. The owner was super nice and attentive. She also offers free shuttle around town which was bonus. I highly recommend this place.
