I returned to Georgetown specifically so stay at this place, which I adore. A loving restoration that pays respect to the building's long history, while continuing its story into modern times. The furnishings are simple and comfortable with much attention to details. The staff feels like family, the food is delightful, the rooms are carefully soundproofed. Thank you so much for another wonderful stay, I look forward to coming back again.

We loved our stay here! You can tell how much love, care, and attention went into restoring this beautiful heritage house. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and always a pleasure to chat with. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious, with a wonderful variety of local dishes, fresh fruit, eggs made to order, coffee, and tea. A charming place to stay while exploring Penang—we would happily return!

It was definitely the best hotel I stayed in during my travels in Malaysia:
- great interior design
- nice, friendly and helpful staff
- great location
- amazing breakfast: almost everything is homemade (I was even able to have a smaller breakfast when I left at 7 am)
- free water
- very clean and cozy
- nice bistro to sit downstairs

This place was perfect! The staff are amazing and treat you like family. The location is smack bang in the centre of Little India where there is always something going on. Character plus and so much history. Feels homely and welcoming. I'd stay there again and again. Very handy for everything too.
Nothing, it was great. Expect a bit of noise from the street but you don't stay in these areas cos you want silence! It all adds to the unique experience.
