Compston House B&B is a lovely guest house situated in Ambleside, in the Lake District. We had the pleasure of spending four nights there, and it proved to be a wonderful experience. We adored the hosts, Megan and John, who were invariably warm, polite, and full of interesting recommendations. Breakfast was exceptional and generous. Ambleside is a vibrant, beautiful town, perfectly positioned for exploring the southern lakes, the mountain ranges, and the northern lakes alike. We loved every aspect of our stay.

very accomodating for me and my friend who had 2 big bags and dropped them off before our actual drop in time, our breakfastb was also great and had some amazing options

Amazing location - 1 min walk from town centre. Free parking permit on any of the council carparks included! My room was small but big enough for me. Basic equipment, but adequate to the price I paid. Absolutely amazing breakfast - coffee and sausages FIRST CLASS. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. Super cute and friendly hosts and their sweet doggo Mia!
The only thing I was missing was some kind of shelving or rack in the shower for cosmetics, would be more comfortable to reach for them rather than bending down.
