The warm welcome from the young man on reception was excellent,,and how explained the hotel and eating area and bar area and how to get to our room...was excellent service

Lovely location, very clean and all staff were very friendly and attentive

clean and modern

breakfast only served until 9:30 on a Sunday morning and checkout 10:30. Also double doorway to the rooms on ground floor making knocking noise 3 times every time someone opens them

Lovely staff, food lovely but beds need to be replaced

Craiglaw lodge was nice and quiet, the meal we had in the second night was beautiful I had the beef with roast potatoes and seasonal veg which was absolutely delicious the beef melted in your mouth, my partner had the fish and chips which were lovely cant fault the food at all, breakfast was good apart from it wasnt very hot but ingredients were if a high standard, the room was nice and large, but I would not say it was superior... the bed were very uncomfortable and the matress need to be renewed as you could hear the springs when you turned, bedding and pillows need to be renewed as you could smell they were old, also there needs to be more attention to cleaning bathroom, the toilet had urine stains on the pedestal, the shower around tray had dirt and mould, water Mark's still in glass shower screen, and the shower head was either rusty or dirty not sure what?? The staff were absolutely amazing all of them from the front dest, waiter @waitresses ti the cleaners, all in all a lovely stay but as I mentioned for that amount if money they need to up grade beds and attention to cleanliness if bathrm, we had to get moved to a new rm as our shower wasnt working scolded my partner which also was not good, , but we got moved nxt day which was fine, unfortunately the bed was the same old and in need if replacing and bathrm was abit cleaner but still needs ti be thourally cleaned .

Didnt like the beds very uncomfortable and in need if replacing, bedding needs renewed @pillows, and bathrm needs thourow clean .

A pleasant, relaxing stay.

beautiful location. Friendly staff. large room with two chairs.

Internet non-existent in room. could only be accessed at Reception. but not listed among facilities available. it’s so important that you should state “No internet in bedroom”. Facilities listed included “View” but our room looked onto a wooden fence at rear. Disappointing. beds too soft.

Really disappointing

Great location with amazing coastal views

Worth remembering this is not a hotel, rather a golf club with rooms. Room whilst spacious was pretty austere - most notably an uncomfortable mattress and pillows, so I didn't sleep well. Breakfast was fairly basic also. Very expensive for what it is and I'll be unlikely to return.

A little overpriced

loved the location on the golf course and very close to other courses. The bar was busy and enjoyed the atmosphere. Also bar was nicely priced and did an excellent coffee.

the breakfast was very poor. I accept that its a golf club and doesnt have the facilities of a hotel but for £160 a night i was expecting better ingredients and an effort to offer a variety. It was a makeshift buffet table with limited choice especially the cold side, the toaster was a knackered old two slicer that took forever to toast the bread and this everyone was queuing or giving up on having toast altogether The room a good size and had a great view of the golf course , decor was ok if a little dated and the mattresses were springy and lacked quality,

Overall, comfortable, good value, good food

Food at the restaurant was very good and good value for money. Staff were helpful

No lift, but we were offered help to get our luggage upstairs. Last orders for food 8pm

the only thing was the room was a tad hot, but turned the radiator off.

We'll be back

The hotel is in such a great location with views that are fantastic, the restaurant has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the golf course and the sea, and we had a seaview room too. The room was huge, the bed was comfortable, and the main thing was the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Brilliant!

Wonderful and relaxing in comfort and style.

The breakfast was tasty and generous

We didn't know what the procedure was for breakfast when we arrived in the din ing room so it would have been helpful if staff advised on first entering. But not a problem, don't see it as an issue

10 out 10 Highly recommended

The property was in excellent condition and it’s location was ideal. It also had disabled friendly facilities. Rooms we had were spacious and had tea and coffee, hairdryer, and has an ironing board and iron. I would also add that the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was very good. Golf course which was part of the property was a good test for golfers of all abilities and even had a six hole three course and driving range all within walking distance all in all excellent value for your money
