The bed was firm but comfortable. It was the biggest double bed I've seen in Tokyo city. Full open window compared to some of the more compact places seen in shinjuku.
The hidden costs. I was given notice of extended check out for an additional 3300¥, I wasn't told that was the price per hour. I was 5 minutes over that, and got charged an additional 3300¥. I questioned it and they said "if you don't pay we have to call the police". No hospitality or customer service in terms of discussion or anything. Just plainly - pay up or we call the police. I stayed in a more premium hotel in kyoto and they charged 1000¥ for extra time in the room and that was for three hours including a courtesy call to indicate that the time was almost up.
