Probably the highlight of our Sri Lanka trip!

This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed and the staff are so kind, helpful and friendly. Such a lovely place to stay and be at one with nature. We did two sunrise hikes up to Pidurangala and Lion rock which they will drop you off at in the dark. They also organised an incredible safari trip for us to go and see elephants, and rented us bikes to explore the area. They will also prepare handmade food for your breakfast and dinner if wanted. The food is so so good, they cater well to different diets too. The vibe they have created at their hostel is extremely sociable and this is a great place to make new friends too. Generally all around lovely hosts who will go above and beyond to make your stay extra special

Gutes Hostel, aber dass wir am Ende noch mal so abgezockt wurden hat keinen schönen Eindruck hinterlassen.

- Die Baumhäuser waren sehr cool - Personal war sehr freundlich - Der Billiard Tisch war nice - Essen war gut - Uns wurden Tuktuk-Fahrten organisiert

- Handy-Empfang war super schlecht, auch für Datenvolumen das über SIM-Karte gekauft wurde. (An anderen Orten hatten wir immer optimalen Empfang) - Duschen hat ewig gedauert, da so gut wie kein Wasser aus der Brause kam - Die meisten Tuktuk-Fahrten wurden uns von Hostel-Mitarbeitern zu einem fairen Preis angeboten. Nur am letzten Tag wurden wir leider übers Ohr gehauen: Für 15 Minuten Fahrt vom Hostel zur Bus Station in Habarana wurden uns 2500 LKR berechnet. Zum Vergleich, am nächsten Tag in Kandy hatten wir von morgens bis abends einen Tuktuk Fahrer der für den gesamten Tag (ca. 8 Stunden) nur 3000 LKR berechnet hat. Da wir ja auch keinen Internet-Empfang hatten, konnten wir auch keine anderen Fahrer als Alternative kontaktieren.

Baumhaus Feeling 100%

Der Besitzer und alle Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das inkludierte Frühstück ist super lecker und war unterschiedlich an beiden Tagen. Das Hostel liegt in Laufweite zum Pidurangala Rock, ca 15min. Wenn was los ist, kann man dort coole Leute kennenlernen. In unserem Zimmer gab es zwei Ventilatoren, die man auch brauchte, weil es richtig warm wurde. Das Bad ist direkt im Baumhaus mit dran und groß genug, so dass nicht alles unter Wasser steht.

Um zu den Restaurants und kleinen Shops zu kommen muss man entweder eine halbe Stunde an der Straße entlang laufen oder ein Tuk Tuk nehmen.

Great to meet people!

Staying in a tree house is cool and we enjoyed watching the birds and monkeys from our tree house. It's also a good place to meet other travelers and be social. We met lots of great people there!

We booked a private tree house and were greeted with the words "I'll show you the tree house, and if you don't like it, we have another one". We had a look at both and the second one was much better. The price was the same. Be careful if you're the last one to arrive that day, you might end up in the "prototype" room. There's no reception/wifi. We witnessed them being overbooked a few times which is due to them not being able to check their reservations online whilst people extend/book with them in person... We didn't like the way staff was "upselling" things. It would be nice if they had a price list for food/drinks/activities, so you don't have to ask every time. They would also be better off to factor the cost of dinner into the room rates (which would still be cheap) as dinner seemed expensive compared to the room rates.

Social, friendly and relaxed stay in a beautiful spot!

Beautiful location in the jungle of sigiriya, staff were unbelievably kind and helpful and offer to assist with pretty much everything, from daily activities or travel to your next location. Food was also unreal and huge portions. They’ve also just got a new coffee machine serving up awesome caffeinated beverages!

Nothing to complain about but if you’re after a western meal, let them know with plenty of notice. All the food is made from scratch so can take some time :)

one of the best hostels i’ve ever stayed it!

it’s very easy to meet people! we had a great time - went on a safari, multiple hikes, drove around the area with scooters and went for a swim in lakes. the food was delicious and i liked the community dinner in the evening

they charge quite a lot for driving you somewhere but it’s easy to rent a scooter or something. laundry is really expensive compared to other places i’ve stayed in

Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Staff very friendly. Potential to be a great place once construction is finished. Only a certain small area with wifi, so make sure you plan things before going.

No hot water and bathroom light didn't work. However, is it hot in Sigiriya so no need for hot water.

Dope vibe, maany people even tho Sigiriya seems Iike a v remote place. Owners super helpful, there's billiard board, u can get some delicious food & breaky is in the price. Houses on the tree ofc, kinda cool concept, u can feel like your 5y old being 20 🤙🏿

Lovely hostel in the middle of the jungle, perfect location for relax and explore sigiriya. The owners organize different activities to keep you entertain during your stay and it's easy to meet travellers that way. I loved the yoga rooftop and the breakfast, fresh juices, teas. The hostel is run by a caring family who makes sure to help you with anything they can, they even drop me at the bus station on my last day :)

Lovely stay in the jungle.

Very nicely located in the jungle. The owner and his soon-to-be wife took very good care of us. Free transfer between the treehouses, to the ATM or to the lake or the rock. Very nice food is served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I like the vibe, I had a lot of fun there and made a lot of new friends.

This place feels like home away from home. The host family is so welcoming, makes sumptuous food, and treats you with homemade cocktails to set the vibe. It is a cosy place where you would never feel left out even though you're traveling solo or are an introvert. You will always find the most welcoming tribe at Treehouse and beautiful peeps as your fellow trippers. Their treehouse concept makes them unique. I stayed in a double room treehouse as all the dorms were full, but still loved the vibe of both forms.

I am a bit scared of Frogs, so that was the only thing that got me conscious at times. But if you opt to stay between the jungle, such things would always come as part and parcel. I'd rather deal with frogs than give up on staying at such a beautiful place.

For me the best hostel so far in Sri Lanka!

The staff is amazing! So friendly, helpful and and do everything to give their guests a good life. They arrange free or cheap tours, cook amazing dishes and answer you every question. The hostel is in a beautiful nature area with a very nice common areas. Its impossible to not get to know people. The spirit in this hostel is so great. Its like a family.

You have sometime cold water and the tree houses wanking sometimes. Not many plugs in the rooms and bad (WiFi)-connections. (BUT welcome in the nature) ;)

The hostel is owned by a lovely family and they treat you like a family member! They'll drive you to wherever you want to go for free/small fee (if it's far). Everyday there's a lot of activities. And last but not least they cook traditional food for everyone, which is delicious 😋. I'm really in love with the place and family. They try there best to make it social and succeed! But if you just wanna relax and chill this is also the spot for that. 10/10 recommend!!!
