Excellent Palma City Break in Historic Central Location

Charming historic residence set in the heart of old town palma with easy access to all parts from a central base. After the A1 route airport bus transfer a short walk down Jaime 111 covered shopping arcade which is smooth for rolling cases quickly brings you to the plaza where Born 8 is located.( Apartment access door is around the rear) Manuel was always on hand via whatts app and check in and key drop check out were perfect .thank you Manuel)

There are 75 steps to top floor but having just had a knee replacement this was not a problem and we were aware at time of booking.( mentioned just in case later guests were less mobile) Possibly providing conventional pillows for the bed might be advantageous and perhaps new replacement bed sheet linen that did let the stay down. ( crisp white sheets are generally a given)

Ducha con cortina, no mampara, un olor muy desagradable en baño a tuberías diariamente. Las toallas muy usadas y con mal olor La cama con almohadas de muy mala calidad Decoración escasa y con falta de detalles.

Perfection location, facilities only fair.

Location was perfect. Within walking distance of the sights e.g. The cathedral and palma beach. Supermarket close by. Eroski. Train/bus station within walking distance, taxi costs under 5euro. Frequent busses to Soller and Valldemossa both well worth a visit. Large market in Inca on Thursdays easily to travel to by train. Lots of playgrounds for children in the numerous squares. Lovely walkways and cycle tracks by seaside. Check in was easy met at property by cleaner but was charged 20euro for late check in at 10.15pm.

4 flights of stairs, no light on 4th floor, dark at night to walk down. Only 2 flat lumpy pillows. Requested 2 more pillows, but was told nobody complained ever about the pillows.!! Never got the 2 pillows. Back plate on hob cut off all power when turned on. As oven was not working, a microwave would have been usefull. Apartments are meant to be self catering. No bedside light in bedroom. Manual did respond to text messages. With a few small improvements this could be a great apartment. 2 extra pillows could be left in wardrobe. Would be well worth it to have the oven in working condition. I know it's not advertised in booking .com but why have an oven that does not work??

No aircon to turn up or down. I was there in March and the apartment was freezing.
