About this house rental
Nestled in Iowa, this lovely house for $367 per night is a great option for your next break. This updated 4 bedroom, 4 bath features a new outdoor Hot Tub in a private, wooded setting. It also features a screened in porch and deck with large Weber bbq grill for your outdoor enjoyment. Inside everyone will have tons of room to spread out and enjoy their stay in two large living rooms and spacious bedrooms. (Accommodates 10 guests) The upper level is open concept with dining room, kitchen, family room and vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything you will need to prepare a meal. Two bedrooms are located on the main level, one king bed with whirlpool en suite and one queen bed with en suite. Additional twin sleeper sofa located on main level. The lower level features a large family room with pool table, wet bar and flat screen off the outdoor deck with adjoining hot tub. Two bedrooms are located downstairs, one king bed with whirlpool en suite and two twins with full private bath. High efficiency laundry is located on lower level with provided iron and board. Enjoy a short walk to Stony Point Lookout and golf view of Lake Galena and much of the Galena Territory. Your rental will include six proximity cards that allow you access to the The Galena Territory Owners' Club. This is an exclusive amenity that can only be used by Galena Territory property owners and their guests. "The Owners' Club" includes an indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool with slides, kiddie pool, fully equipped fitness room, game room, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, seasonal snack bar, WiFi and outdoor playground. You also get access to Lake Galena, The Shenandoah Riding Center and numerous hiking trails throughout the 6,800 acre property. Stony Point is two miles to the GTA Owners Club and fifteen minutes to downtown Galena. This home is NOT pet friendly. We do utilize a Ring video doorbell at the front door to ensure easy check-in.

This is a wonderful location in the Galena Territory. A very comfortable house -- our family stated that this was the BEST, most comfortable living room we have had in any rental home anywhere. We enjoyed relaxing at the house, the comfortable beds, amazing location, huge dining room table (great for meals and games), nice laundry facilities, great kitchen for cooking and eating. And we were fortunate to get just enough snow to build some great snowmen and to enjoy a couple days skiing. There is an easy walk down the road to a scenic overview, and we were so glad our hosts mentioned it. Especially pretty in the snow. A very fun trip, and our hosts were very responsive to any questions we had.

House was exactly what my girlfriends and I were looking for. We loved the screened in porch. We enjoyed the pool and amenities at the clubhouse.
I thought the deposit for the house was extremely high at $3,000. And I didn't receive the deposit back until a week after my stay. I had to reach out to Kyle a couple of times and ultimately ended up calling VRBO because I never got the notification that my deposit would be returned.

Lovely, clean property. Well stocked kitchen. Hot tub is great. Would be helpful to have instructions on how to clean it or add chlorine to it as it got dirty by the end of the week. Loved the community pool access.

We loved this property at 1 Stoney Point in the Galena Territory. It was a family vacation with 5 adults and we all had so much room. We used the kitchen, which was very well appointed, and the gas grill. I loved that there were so many glasses and real plates and not much plasticware at all. We really enjoyed the screened in porch, which was comfortable and a great gathering spot. All of the bedrooms were appointed well and the beds were super comfortable. (But really tall for my short self! I laughed b/c I need help getting up on the bed!! LOL) The local area here is beautiful and we enjoyed site seeing and the town of Galena. Kudos to the Manager, Kyle, for responding so quickly when we locked ourselves out of the jacuzzi!!! Kyle even had a sweet bunny rabbit visit us in the front yard, which made us all small. We recommend the Goat Trek as an activity. Definitely will recommend this place.

Fantastic First Family Vacation
This property was absolutely perfect for our first family trip as a group. We stayed at this property with two first time parent families with little kids and it was an absolute pleasure. There was so much space for everyone to spread out and for the little kids to be safely playing. The screened porch was a wonderful place for coffee and the hot tub was absolutely amazing for the moms to get away during nap time. It was the perfect amount spaced out from neighbors while still being in a nice neighborhood with close distance into town. Would love to make the Galena Territory an annual trip as our kids get older.

Family Vacation
The central air was not working. The house was cool (not cold,) when we arrived, and by evening it was stuffy and very uncomfortable. That’s when we realized the air was not working at all. Called property manager, who was extremely helpful. The next morning a technician repaired the thermostat and the air cane back on. Next day the WiFi went out, so no one could use the internet. Other than those 2 things, the trip was great. Galena is a beautiful part of IL.

The kitchen, living room, great room area was perfect for our family to all do our thing AND be together. We had one issue with the house during our stay. The house is very well appointed and comfortable. However, it does not technically sleep 10 as advertised. There are beds for 8, and a twin fold out. An air mattress is provided for the 10th person. If the management company had been up front, they would have made MORE money because we would have rented a larger home.

Great Getaway
WE had 4 couples stay at Stony Point and we totally enjoyed the house. It had everything we needed to prepare the food and meals. Appreciated having the Keurig maker and coffee pods. The house is designed to provide a great social experience with a large dining are and living room space. Nice open concept!
