Rustic, but updated log cabin with wrap around porch and cozy fireplace was perfect for our group of two couples. The views from the picture windows adorning the front of the cabin were breathtaking. Comfortable bedding and an adequate supply of coffee, drinking water and spices added to the experience. Friendly goat and outdoor cats was a plus. Definitely a unique accommodation which I would highly recommend.

Spectacular view and so quiet and peaceful. We loved it, and would totally stay here again.

Perfect location with the best views in the Valley! Next to a good restaurant and coffee shop, almost mid way between Palmer and Glenallen. Property has all the amenities one could expect or need. The cabin has a rustic feel but very nice still. I will definitely keep this place favorited for future stays. The goat that lives here is extremely friendly and my kids loved it. Thanks for a great stay !

This cabin has everything you need. The wood stove was already going when we arrived, so we didn't even have to bother with lighting a fire, and the place stayed plenty warm overnight. Just wished we could have stayed longer!

The cabin was perfect- warm, clean, well equipped, including charming goats that came to say hello!! Jennifer was very friendly and responsive. I got to hold the new kittens!
The view is spectacular and the restaurant across the street is a must visit. Don’t miss your chance to stay here.

There are goats in the barn next on the property that kept us awake by running around the deck at night. This deck is attached to our “cabin”, which is an upstairs unit above a home.

great cabin, amazing views, and wonderful responsive host. Perfect for our visit to Matanuska Glacier, wish we would have stayed longer, we just loved this area!!

This is the absolute best decision we made after doing a glacier trek across the street. The cabin was perfect, well stocked, wifi, with goats to add the cherry on top! If you have some extra time I would do two or three days here. It is a great stop!

This was a very comfortable place to stay! Great views. Cabin had everything we needed and then some. Cozy bed linens. Bonus surprise of goats visiting the decks. This place made me smile a lot. Would stay here again!

The cabin in the view were as expected-amazing! This was our first trip to Alaska and the first place we stayed. I highly recommend starting here for your trip to Alaska. The glacier view was neat. It’s a quiet private space with the host nearby. The goats were a nice touch!

Our family of four adults stayed in this quiet cabin for one night. I wish we could have stayed longer. What a special place! It was built in the early 70s but was very clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and had lots of space for the four of us. But our favorite thing about the cabin, by far, was the view. We cooked in, to enjoy the view, and had everything we needed. And the two sweet, baby goats and their mammas made us all laugh with their antics. They were great entertainment. Highly recommend a stay here. If you do stay here, make sure you watch the Moose Movie DVD. Memorable!

Peaceful and comfortable house. Wonderful view from the house and deck. Plenty of room to spread out.

One of the best stocked kitchens we encountered in our nearly 2 weeks in Alaska. And wonderful effort at balancing access to the amazing view of the glacier and attempting to block as much of the light as possible for sleep. Cozy and comfortable. I wish I'd scheduled more time here.

The view of the glacier from the cabin was fabulous! The lodging was as described in the listing. It was clean and well stocked. The goats and cats on the property were cute and entertaining.

You just can't beat the view! I wanted to stay up all night staring out the window...and I could because a couple of the beds looks right at it. The place is very clean and mattresses comfortable. The tour to Matanuska Glacier is practically across the street and I recommend that as well. I would absolutely stay here again.

We LOVED our stay in this cozy rustic cabin with a view of the glacier! If you are log cabin oriented, you will be very happy here! We had privacy, views, thoughtful amenities & history of the area provided by Jennifer, and we loved our walk on the glacier tour!

By far our favorite place we stayed while visiting Alaska. We were welcomed by a warm fire burning in the wood burning stove. Big windows to take in the beauty of the surrounding. Comfortable outdoor seating on front deck. Kitchen is well stocked. I even found some EmergenC for my oncoming cold. Beds were comfortable with plenty of warm heavy blankets. Being animal lovers the goats roaming about the property just added to our experience.

I booked this cabin for my husband, his step father and step brothers. The immediately wrote me upon checking in about how wonderful the cabin was and that the view was spectacular. They wished they had spent their entire 2 week Alaskan holiday at this cabin and would absolutely recommend it to anyone in the area.

I booked this for the location and views. They did not disappoint. Unbelievable view of Matanuska Glacier and valley. We even had peak fall colors. Fantastic.
Cabin was fine. 50 years old, the real deal. So don't expect the Hilton. Bed was fine. We cooked and used the grill. It was September so we fired up the wood stove. There are instructions if you don't know your way around a wood stove. But it is the only source of heat and we certainly needed it.
Added bonus-Goats.

The host was very available. The house was in a great location with a stunning view of the mountains and the Matanuska glacier. We had a magical view of sunrise over the mountains. It was lovely to see the billy goats meandering through the grounds. We had a great dinner at Sheep Mountain which is about 15 minutes away. They are known for the great pies.

The cabin windows open on to a stunning panoramic view of the Matanuska glacier and its surrounding glacier patches, river and streams, stunning. Try to stay at least 2 nights here lots to do. We could not due to only one night here. The hostess Jennifer was nice. She had provided a good selection of teas coffees, breakfast material etc. she keeps a nice file for the education of guests on the history of the cabin and surroundings. We just loved it. Very nearby is the Long Rifle cabins and restaurant, wonderful place to eat, very reasonable prices and surprisingly good menu. We had the Moroccan lentil soup, and salad, (surprising great tomato pesto dressing) other things also seemed very well prepared. Down to earth staff.

Lovely, charming, and comfortable
This is a hidden gem. Such a comfortable stay with everything you might need. It’s not in town, so come prepared and make sure your tank is full. Millie will keep you company and the glacier views are inspiring.

Great View
Fantastic stay. Comfortable, clean, well stocked. Walked to dinner at local restaurant. Close to hiking trails. Owner thought of the small details - lighting, hangers, coat hooks, games, etc. THE VIEWS are fantastic. Highly recommend .

Only here one night. It was clean and comfortable. Bit of road noise when outside but the views far outweighed. Climb of sheep mountain close, pretty easy although steep. View from there was awesome. Experience at long rifle restaurant was also good.

Unforgettable
Everything about the cabin was magical; the construction, layout décor, and even the goats. Add to that, the view I couldn't stop staring at. Jennifer was a great host, too!

Wonderful view. Cozy cabin. Everything you'd want.
We loved our stay at this beautiful, rustic cabin. The view is amazing, but so is the cabin itself. Kitchen, bathroom, grill, space to relax. It has it all
