The location was great as we had a room with a terrace overlooking the beach, and the window in the bathroom had a great view of the city including the Sagrada Familia. The staff overall were friendly and helpful as we had many requests and questions. There was a great spread for breakfast, with many fresh pastries, breads, fruits, meats, and coffee options. The view from the pool was incredible.
The pool itself was small and cold, so unless it was super hot outside or you love super cold pools then you can't comfortably swim. The lighting in the room is the one major downside to the hotel. The lighting in the bathroom was horrible as it was mostly overhead potlights, so if you want to do your makeup you have to bring your own mirror and do it outside. There are no lights outside on the terrace which made it difficult to hang out outside in the evenings.

Very clean hotel. Very comfortable bed. So much attention to detail. Easily can identify as a five star hotel. Lovely attentive staff. They surprised me with a bottle of champagne and cake on my birthday, i wasnt expecting this gesture, very thoughtful, thank you. I will definitely stay here again when im in Barcelona. Very close to metro, beach, shopping mall.

• The room included a complimentary mini fridge setup with 4 water bottles (500 ml), 1 Red Bull, 1 beer, and 1 Coke. Items were refilled daily only if consumed, so it’s worth using or carrying them out each day to receive the refill.
• Ensure to place to the ‘Make My Room’ tag outside the door for Daily housekeeping to be done on a daily basis.
• The main double bed was comfortable, and big.
• The air conditioning worked well, although the room heats up during the day due to direct sunlight, which reduces the cooling effect.
• Breakfast buffet had a decent spread with five juice options and three types of cocktail sausages, fruits, pancake, cereals, vegetables, tea, coffee, etc. There was no live egg station, but the sunny side up and boiled eggs were served warm. No omelets, but the Spanish omelets was good. The bread when toasted came out warm and soft.
• Although we initially booked without breakfast, we were offered forcefully a discounted rate at check in (€17 per adult and €13 per child per day). And we were given the room only after 3pm to check-in.
• The Barcelona Touristic Bus stop is right next to the hotel, which was very convenient.
• Diagonal Mar Shopping Mall is just a short walk away and offers a food court and many dining options.
• Tram and public buses pass nearby, though we did not use them.
• Room service menu is very limited, especially late at night. When we ordered, the staff member insisted on payment before placing the tray inside the room and pushed the tip options on the card machine, which felt uncomfortable and not in line with the service level expected from a 4 star hotel.
They charged us additional as city tax than what was originally mentioned in the booking,
• The family room layout is triangular, located at the pointed corner of the building, resulting in an awkward room shape & limited usable space. The balcony had no table or chairs. But, we saw other balconies with table and 2 chairs when walking towards the room from the lift.
• When requested a room change, they said all family rooms are located in the same triangular corner on all floors.
• The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. The middle section protruded upward, the head area was too low, and it made considerable noise. Had to use the cushions as pillows also, and was difficult to sleep.
• With sofa bed opened and luggage placed close to the bed, there is very limited walking space, which is challenging with young children.
• The cupboard, small desk, and chair are placed right next to the entry and the open sink area.
• The open cupboard has only a small lower shelf for a single sided suitcase, not a double sided one.
• No kettle provided. We were told to use the coffee machine for hot water.
• Only 2 sachets each of coffee, white sugar, brown sugar, and infused tea were provided.
• No black tea or English breakfast tea in the room. Reception said they only provide infused teas since that is what they drink in Spain and that black tea must be ordered.
• The toilet and bathroom are very small, with a magnetic lock. No hooks to hang clothes or towels inside the toilet and the bathroom.
• The toilet door opens very close to the sink counter, so it’s difficult to enter comfortably.
• The sink tap is fixed in the center and extends outward, making it awkward to wash your face or brush as it does not move sideways.
• The lighting is positioned above the sink, not very ideal to shave and groom.
• The TV is mounted on the pointed wall side of the room, making it difficult to view from the bed, sofa, or desk.
• No side tables near the sofa/sofa bed, so there’s no convenient place to keep charging devices. Side tables were next to the double bed.
