Céntrico, cómodo pero algo desorganizado

La ubicación es perfecta, la cama era super-cómoda y para estar en la zona de sol no se escuchaba nada de ruido exterior. El desayuno abundante para ser un 3 estrellas y muy rico en general.

El servicio de comedor ha sido lo peor por la falta de personal. Uno de los días hemos tenido que coger cubiertos de otras mesas, y ninguna persona de recepción, viendo el ajetreo ha mostrado el mínimo interés. El baño debería estar un poco más aislado y la ducha estaba muy gastada.

Tiny, dark room

The location is great, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

My room was tiny and extremely dark, the small window was to a tiny courtyard and gave absolutely no natural light. It had nothing to do with the photos shown on the website. The already small room had a large pilar on the middle making it feel even smaller. I have stayed in other hotels of similar price point in Madrid and this was by far the worst.

A gem in the heart of the city, value for money

Exceptional breakfast, with options for vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free. Staff incredibly helpful. Comfy room and beds, different pillows to choose (firm or soft). Sustainable and eco-friendly products.

A small nuisance that was not very important but worth mentioning. As the hotel is in the very heart of the city (Sol), there's some noise from the street. We were on a high floor and the window had good insulation, but even so, as we were facing a narrow street, we could hear some noises, drunk people and so on.

Ideal location

Great location and value for money. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. Staff at the front desk were very helpful. It was great to be able to open the balcony door.

Can be noisy - other guests were very loud late at night in the hallway. Hopefully a one off.

Excellent staff and location, but amenities really fell short

- Staff: The staff at this location was incredible. They were communicative, kind, and took excellent care of us especially with a big issue (see below) - Location: 30 seconds walk from the Puerta del Sol, so you're right in the center and action of the tourist part of Madrid - Cleanliness and comfort: All of the hotel and both rooms we stayed in were very clean and well taken care of by the hospitality staff

- Wifi: The wifi was awful. We could never establish a good connection in either of the rooms we stayed in (see below). My husband's phone could connect sometimes, but my phone in particular would only get a wifi connection for 10 seconds at a time. Luckily we had purchased an upgraded phone plan. As an American traveler, if you are depending on wifi rather than cellular connection, this may not be the best choice - A/C: The air-conditioning left a lot to be desired. It would run and run but never really get cold - Room issue: Halfway through our stay we took a day trip, and when we came back, there was water dripping down onto the bed from the ceiling (around the smoke detector). It had clearly been leaking for most of the day, as there was an enormous puddle of water on our bed. We told the staff and they immediately came up to the room to help. They believed it was due to frequent rain at the time, and that the hotel is in an older building. They changed us to a new room on the spot, which we appreciated. But still, we had to pack up all our things and "move house" in the middle of our stay. And thankfully we hadn't left any of our clothes/electronics on that exact part of the bed while we were gone!

excellent location for visiting Madrid. Small rooms without frills. Gets the job done

loved the location and the friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was very good for the price. Would recommend to families and groups of guests.

initially we were put in room 507, which did not have a window and was very dark/cramped. We asked for a change in room and were given 307, which was much more well aerated and had a large window.

Good value for the price and location. It is a three star so don't expect 4 star accommodations.

Location is fantastic! Employees were friendly and helpful.

Rooms were extremely small with hardly any turn around room; no place for multiple suitcases except the floor. Breakfast pricing was expensive.

Would return in a heartbeat! An absolute gem

Would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. Vanessa and Luis were so helpful on reception. The hotel was clean, the rooms were a decent size and the facilities were great. The hotel is on a busy street and there is currently construction going on, but you cannot hear this from the rooms at all - which we were really grateful for. A fantastic location and overall perfect hotel for anyone travelling to Madrid.

If I was to be VERY picky, the only thing I would say is that there was some noise coming from other guests outside our door, but this only lasted a few minutes on occasions. But this is very very minor and would not take away from the brilliant experience we had.
