The hotel itself is new, with a modern, minimalist design, and is located in an area with modern buildings. However, there are several details that could be improved:
- the attitude of some persons at reception
- breakfast. It was good for a four-star hotel, but the variety was rather limited and there was no fresh fruit. The cappuccino with condensed milk tasted terrible. Unfortunately, only one lady was responsible for welcoming guests, serving, and clearing the tables, which seemed like far too much for one person.
- the lighting in the room. Now it is cold white rather than warm and quite unpleasant, especially in the evening
- provide bathrobes.
All in all, I could not recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay here again.
The bad impression started as soon as we arrived. There is an ongoing construction site right in front of the hotel, with cranes and all the associated noise. Although we arrived on Saturday evening and assumed that things would be quiet the following day, we were wrong. The construction work continued, and it was impossible to keep the window open because of the noise.
At reception, even though it was already past 8:00 PM, we had to change the Premium Plus room we had booked through Booking.com twice. The first room, 508, had a very strong sewage smell. We requested a change and were given room 509, but when we entered, we discovered that there were already people and personal belongings in the room. Only on the third attempt did we finally get a suitable room, 408, after we were once again given room 508. My wife had to remind the receptionist that we had initially been in 508 and that it had smelled of sewage. Because of this, we were not able to get our luggage into the room until 9:15 PM
I was particularly bothered by the attitude of one of the young female receptionists — the blonde one with long hair. She responded rudely and arrogantly to almost every question, even contradicting me unnecessarily. On top of that, I got the impression that she was flirting with me, giving the impression that she might even be willing to offer other types of services. Completely unprofessional and inappropriate. We were left with a very bitter taste after this interaction.
I also requested a single invoice covering the hotel stay, parking, and restaurant expenses, but we were told that this was impossible, so in the end we received three separate invoices.
