Front desk, bar, and dinner staff were professional, friendly, helpful, and very service-oriented. Only exception was breakfast...a bit of a hectic and crowded food and coffee self-service arrangement with - no obvious line or natural flow so it easily devolves into a mishmash of people going down the tables in different directions, etc. Not a huge deal, but friendly and helpful staff could've eased the human traffic jams and created a pleasant vibe. Instead, their demeanor was sullen - sort of seemed unhappy to be there. When I asked one of them for help because the espresso machine needed emptying of the bin, she seemed annoyed but took care of it right away. Definitely uncharacteristic of the overall experience we enjoyed at the hotel. Comfortable beds and linens, great location for shopping, dining, and walking to the funicular to go up to the Alta Citta. A really great stay.

Brilliant hotel: lovely building and cloister garden, excellent standard room and breakfast. Friendly staff. I would love to return!

Experience was excellent from start to finish. Very friendly, helpful staff at check-in and they give us useful information on the locality to maximise our stay. Room was spacious clean and had large bathroom. Lovely setting for breakfast. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.
