- The location! Short distance to the old town Citta Alta (important for the guys) and the shopping area (important for the ladies) in the lower part of the city.
- The rooms! All rooms at Ginevra are top modern and very clean. Our room even had a nice balcony.
- The service! The CEO at Ginevra Rooms, Leila Gritti, gave us the best assistance in every aspect! Some weeks before arrival we discovered that our booking through Booking.com contained wrong number of guest. Surprisingly enough Booking.com could not fix this, but Leila did. She even called us at home to verify that everything was in order. On our last day we had to do a change in our travel plans to get back home and we were in desperate need for transportation to Milano. Leila fixed this on the spot.
- We will certainly get back to Ginevra Rooms on our next trip to Bergamo!

I stayed in one of the larger rooms, with a separate lounge area and bedroom. The room was very tastefully decorated, with well-chosen details and plenty of character. I also liked that the different rooms have their own themes – it gives the property personality while still feeling stylish and well designed.
Everything was very clean and the location is excellent. There is also a shared room where you can leave your luggage, which is a very useful facility. The airport bus stops literally across the road, and the main sights and areas of interest are within easy reach.
Unfortunately, the comfort didn't quite match how good the room looked. The mattress had clearly seen better days and was noticeably sagging in the middle, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
The air conditioning was also extremely loud, even on the lowest setting. Sleeping with it on was difficult, but with the high temperatures, turning it off meant the room quickly became hot and stuffy.
There was also an issue with the shower – even with the shower doors fully closed, water was still leaking underneath them and onto the bathroom floor.
Considering that this is essentially room-only accommodation, I think a comfortable night's sleep should be one of the basics. With the mattress and air-conditioning issues, I found the price difficult to justify and overall felt the stay was considerably overpriced.
