The staff were amazing – super friendly and always happy to help. The location is perfect: you can get there directly by bus from the airport, it's just a 2-minute walk from the heart of Città Alta, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The bus stop is only 100 m away, which makes day trips outside Bergamo – to Lake Iseo, for example – really convenient, as the bus takes you straight down to the train station or the bus station.
Another great thing about the location is having the San Vigilio funicular right on the doorstep. On the evenings we had dinner up on San Vigilio hill, we took the funicular back down and were in our room within 3 minutes – perfect after a long day.
Being a locanda, the hotel also has its own restaurant and bar on the ground floor, which is super handy when you're tired after a day of sightseeing: you can have dinner right there and then just head upstairs to your room.
Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the mattress was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept on.

We loved the location! Just outside one of the main stone gates to the old city so super convenient and quiet. Our room was like a studio apt. So comfortable! Only 6 rooms in the hotel so not a big place but so much charm. Breakfast and outdoor bar really nice. Great friendly staff. We’d go back in a heartbeat!
