Loved Quebec City, loved our little attic room, but the rest of the hotel experience was sub par.

The location was great. Although the attic room was very small, it was very quaint.

Didn’t really mind the three floor walk up until we wanted ice, the ice maker was only available three stories down by the desk. Our TV never worked. We alerted the guy at the front desk and he took our remote and said he would look into it. He said another room was also having a TV issue. We saw him sitting and chatting outside the hotel as we left. TV was never addressed even though we reminded him several times that day. (after we mentioned it at check out they removed two days of parking charge). We got the feeling the TV never works and he was just acting like it was something new. Parking was 10 minutes off premise. Our car was completely coated with dirt after two days of parking (large construction job outside the parking garage). Our first thought leaving Quebec City was to find a car wash.

In a lovely area of a very touristic old city, it may be the best one can do.

Location is excellent for walking around Old Québec. Thick stone walls and venerable old staircase create sense of history. The room decor was

In current mode post COVID, there is absolutely no service. (No room cleaning, no replenishing coffee, cups, towels, water. No luggage assistance.) Access to the hotel and rooms is via many steep steps, posing a challenge to less nimble. Advertised breakfast was not included, and parking is a couple of blocks away. Overall, okay, but didn’t match my expectations for a 4 star hotel.

A very charming and friendly place in the heart of Old Quebec.

The hotel is in a terrific location, right in the old town, close to great restaurants and the water. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room had charming decor. The bathroom was very cool, with an artistic touch. The attached restaurant had good food and nice staff. The parking was close and not expensive.

This is just part of staying in a historic building… we stayed on the top floor under the eves and the slanted ceilings were charming but also easy to hit your head on. Also, elderly people may want to get a room on a lower floor as the stairs are a bit steep. All worth it to us to experience the charm.

A truly immersive experience in the past

The location was amazing. We had a clear view of Chateau Frontenac from our window and were within walking distance from everything. The hotel was old and had great character. The staff was super sweet and pleasant. The chocolates on our pillows were a nice touch. It was clean.

Our room had esthetically pretty beams, but we were reminded how impractical every time we knocked our head. The shower was a little tight and leaked onto the floor. The stairs to the 3rd floor were crooked but we actually found this amusing and fitting given the age of the building.

a lovely, cozy stay in the attic room. a fair price, considering the great location!

the location is great - you are steps away from all the delights of old Quebec City We stayed in the attic room on the third floor. The room was cozy and the bathroom had heated floors. The hotel has arranged paid parking very close, so parking was not an issue, which was a relief.

The most beautiful place to stay in old Town Quebec.

The room decor was amazing. The view of the Chateau Frontenac from our room was amazing, the bed was very comfortable. The shower is a full body shower, what a treat. This was of the most beautiful stay I have experience.

Great stay

The hotel has a great staff and location. Our room (the loft) was huge, had a kitchen and a great view of the chateau. The breakfast was good and the kitchen staff was very nice. They let us make a late night order of desserts!The location is perfect, near the chateau, shoppping and places to eat. The offsite parking was close and an easy walk.

There are a lot of steps. I knew there was no elevator, but the steps are very steep. I had my elderly parents with me, so that was hard for them, although they really loved the location.

I had the most amazing experience at this hotel, and that is saying a lot since I travel quite a bit

Location- you couldn’t ask for a more central area to tour Old Quebec. Room- magnificent!! Concierge Maxim was amazing.

Confusion with housekeeping services- clarify to avoid misunderstanding. Somehow our restaurant reservation was made 3 days later than requested. Oops!

A great place in the heart of Old Quebec

The location was perfect as it is in the heart of Old Quebec located amid several great restaurants & stores. The desk person was extremely helpful and had a great personality. The rooms were clean & comfortable.

Its an old building so it does not & probably never will be able to accommodate an elevator. Carrying luggage upstairs can be challenging but the desk person was nice enough to help us with that.

Our stay was pleasant but missing the details to make it great.

Breakfast was not the best even though was complimentary the items were few and not very good .

The restaurant is closed only open for breakfast self serve no staff in the lonby no room cleaning available air conditioning and lighting complicated no staff to help

Very central location but small stuffy room

We had been warned that it was a 3 floor walk to the attic room with no lift. However, the room was very stuffy & we could not open a window.

Stuffy room & TV controls impossible to navigate. We put out slip asking for room to be serviced. When not done, we queried with reception, only to be told that we need to advise reception the day before of the wish to have the room serviced! I've never experienced this before. It all felt very transactional, and on checkout, we were asked to put keys in a box ( no one at reception ). No questions as to whether we had enjoyed our stay! The reception staff were pleasant when approached but there was little overall sense of interest with the customer experience.

The location was wonderful but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Perfect location. Air conditioning worked well.

Beds were hard as rock. Ceiling was low for my husband. Room was a bit dingy, stained rug, cheaply decorated, minimal amenities, front desk was usually not staffed, no one to help with bags or at desk when checking out and there is no elevator.
