We absolutely loved the Monsieur Jean. So many pluses: beautiful room, great kitchenette area, unbeatable location, excellent staff, and smooth valet parking arrangement. The fact it sits centrally in Old Quebec is a major plus.
We can be pretty 'particular', so the MJ Hotel "Particulier" was an apt spot for us to stay. It had quirky touches, which added a lot to its overall character and ambience. We just loved it.
The only thing we found lacking, in an otherwise great bathroom/shower area, was the lighting.
Beyond that quibble, we were so very happy we selected this hotel for our stay.

Halls too dark
Bed uncomfortable - mattress needs to be eliminated - linens great
Don’t like Nespresso - no real coffee available
Didn’t like only breakfast option was buffet

Location was amazing! The bar is amazing. The decor is amazing. If you want to be in the heart of old Quebec. This is it!
Only thing was the price. I know it’s because of the location and cool-factor, but it’s a bit much.
