It was a really cool building. Loved the art and the large rooms. My initials are LH and there were LHs everywhere! We’re from the Philly area, so the Love statue outside made us feel at home.

I hadn’t realised that it’s an art gallery as well as a hotel, I just booked it for the location! Wow, what a surprise…. From the famous ‘LOVE’ sculpture outside, through all the Warhol, Liechtenstein and other great works inside, your eyes are simply on swivel as you walk through this charming old building right in the heart of Vieux Montreal. The staff were lovely, the room was small but exceptionally comfortable and the complimentary breakfast of coffee, juice and beautiful pastries was a great way to start the day.
If I were being incredibly picky, the bathroom was very small and dated but it really didn’t affect my view.

Large clean room. Good location
No outdoor space or restaurant. No handicap access. No concierge. Horrible continental breakfast- worse than average 2-3 star motel in US. Not even fruit or boiled egg or yogurt offered. The cappuccino /expresso from a gas station like machine. Jam in plastic packages. Absolutely bazaar lobby with kitschy, cheap touristy trinkets for sale on counters and shop. Poorly curated “Art collection “ without any guide or explanation of the handful of authentic pieces mixed with obvious imitations. Our room had an unprotected large “Chagall” mixed with and a “Norman Rockwell”, ???
