The view of Parliament was awesome, and the location can't be beat. Having such close proximity to the Rideau Center made shopping very convenient, and we were able to avoid the strong winds and rain of Canada Day. In addition the bed was very comfortable, clean, the sheets crisp, the room quite large, and the bathroom was well equipped.
it was all acceptable, but the price was quite high. Also, since we had a king bed, I would have expected two sets of slippers and bathrobes, and more coffee/tea. cream supplies. I did ask for them, and they were promptly provided.

Friendly and very helpful staff, an excellently central location, efficient lifts.. Very large room with fine views. Good shopping mall near by. We recommend Farm Boy for good food for picnics and ready meals.
We were warned in advance that work was being carried out to upgrade the hotel but it was rather messy and disruptive at the entry. The room felt rather tired and dated and in a double room why do hotels only ever supply a single comfy chair?!!
The immediate area surrounding the hotel is sadly troubled with numerous homeless drug addicts.
