The location was very good for walking around the downtown area and Parliament hill.
There was construction on the front entry area.

The location is excellent, and we encountered very friendly and helpful staff during both check-in and check-out.
Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with the service in the bar and restaurant. When staff eventually noticed us or came over to take our order, they were often dismissive, unfriendly, and seemed to have a rather arrogant attitude. This is simply not what I would expect from a hotel carrying the Hilton name.
There is also construction work around the hotel. At other hotels, we were informed about this during the booking process, but here we were not given any advance notice.
The breakfast was by far the worst part of our stay. Having to set the table ourselves and get our own cutlery is one thing, but having a waiter empty leftover food and rubbish into a bin right next to your table while you are eating is completely unacceptable. You are left looking at and smelling dirty cutlery and food waste while trying to have breakfast.
The pastries were dry, and there was virtually no fresh vegetables available. Overall, the breakfast experience was very disappointing and certainly not what we expected from a Hilton hotel.
